"It is made of lady’s fingers dipped in coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of eggs, sugar, and mascarpone cheese, flavored with cocoa."

"That sounds good, but please tell me that lady's fingers are not actual lady's fingers."

[Eskal]

"They're a type of cookie."

[FweepFwopFwoop]

"Oh, thank goodness. For a second, there I thought..."

[Eskal]

"What, no. I wouldn't make you eat actual lady fingers."

[FweepFwopFwoop]

"Hey, I don't know how things work around here."

[Eskal]

Jeremy chuckled. "I'll teach you."

[FweepFwopFwoop]

Trian smiled. "And hen later, it'll be my turn once we're back on Aveen."

[Eskal]

"Wait, what?"

[FweepFwopFwoop]

"Well, I can't really live here on Earth, can I? And neither can our kids. The only realistic option is for you to leave with me."

[Eskal]

"Right. That. That does make sense."

[FweepFwopFwoop]

Trian looked away for a moment, then looked back to Jeremy. "Would that be a bad thing? Just what would you be leaving behind?"

[Eskal]

"Not much...It's just...It's space, Trian. Alien worlds and cultures and....And..." He paused and took a few deep breaths, trying to calm himself.

[FweepFwopFwoop]

"Just think of it like you're moving into another country." Trian suggested. He gently squeezed Jeremy's hand. "I know it seems like a big deal, but life out there isn't too different. Just more high-tech, and with a wider variety of races."

[Eskal]

"But I'm the only earthling," Jeremy sighed.

[FweepFwopFwoop]

"I'm unsure of that, actually." Trian said. "I bet there's at least one other human out there who met an alien and chose to leave Earth."

[Eskal]

"Really now?"

[FweepFwopFwoop]

"None that I've heard of, but there must be one!"

[Eskal]

Jeremy softly chuckled. "Alright then."
