Living in a small town, rumors tended to move quickly. Usually they were the typical things, gossip about who is cheating on who and whatnot. But recently, rumors of people dissapearing had begun to pop up. Even more strange was the rumors of UFOs in the area.
Tobias dismissed these as just paranoia, heading home after a small party. It wasn't far to home, so he walked it, idly humming to himself. People liked to joke that he was a scarecrow come to life, since he was so tall at 6'5". He hated the joke when he was a teen, but he didn't mind it anymore.
He paused in his idle thoughts, hearing a humming noise that wasn't from him. He looked around, the road lined with old trees, expecting to see someone following him. But the humming only grew louder, looming over him until he looked up to see something huge above the treetops.
There was a bright light, then everything went dark. He woke up later on an uncomfortable slab, lights dimmed around him. He tried to sit up, finding he was restrained. He started to panic, pulling at his restraints. A figure that was easily taller than him entered, obstructing what little light there was as it walked over. Tobias felt a sharp prick, then the figure began to move the slab he was on into another room. The door slid closed and the lights came up, revealing he was not alone.
The restraints released and Tobias sat up, finding he was in a strange jumpsuit. As was the man beside him. "H-hey, wake up. Where are we?" He asked the man beside him, hoping he was okay.
