Trian laughed. "My little brother and sister, they'd thought I'd died, and they were preparing a funeral with our toys!"

Jeremy laughed. "Oh my...oh my god..."

"It was the most embarrassing thing. The whole neighborhood gathered in front of our house as the police got me off the roof. My mother and father were so embarrassed!"

[Eskal]

"Most parents would be," Jeremy chuckled.

"Yeah, I know, I know. My siblings never let me live it down, though. Every time none of them know where I am, they make the same damn joke. 'Hey, where's Trian?' 'I don't know, check the roof.' 'Oh hey Trian, I though you were on the roof.' I guess siblings are like that, though."

[Eskal]

"I bet they're checking the roof everyday now," Jeremy teased.

The smile fell off of Trian's face. "Yeah... Probably." He went quiet after that. "I can only guess the hell my parents are going through right now. My siblings too."

[Eskal]

"Hey, I'm sure you'll get back. Somehow."

Trian didn't say anything. He just kept staring up at the sky.

Jeremy looked at teh stars as they started coming out.

The awkward silence between the two continued as the sun set lower and the moon vame out, hiding behind dark, drifting clouds.

"We should get back to the hotel."

[FweepFwopFwoop]

Trian nodded. "Yeah, let's go." He helped Jeremy to his feet, and the two caught a cab back to the hotel.

[Eskal]

Kiba flopped onto the first bed and let out a grunt.

Trian fell onto the bed next to Kiba.

[Eskal]

Jeremy took off his shoes and sat on the other bed. He let out a yawn as he removed the last shoe.

Trian was quiet. He just laid next to Kiba for a while, scratching his ears. Then he got up, grabbed his omnicaster and his distress beacon, and turned to Jeremy. "I'm going out for a while."

"Oh, Ok then," Jeremy said.

Trian was gone for hours. When Jeremy went to sleep, he still had not returned. When he woke up the next morning, Trian was in the other bed, snuggling with Kiba, as though he'd never left.

Jeremy got up and took a shower.
