"Well, according to ditherian tradition, the man contributes the first part of his surname, and the woman contributes the last part of hers. I think It's safe to say you're the woman in this relationship, so that'd make... Xai'Burns."

Jeremy snickered. "Sounds like 'sideburns'."

Trian snickered. "Yeah, it kinda does."

[Eskal]

"Think I should grow some?"

Trian shrugged. "I dunno."

Jeremy chuckled and kissed Trian.

"Hey, help me up off the floor."

Jeremy nodded and helped Trian up.

"Hey, if the Halloween tradition is to wear costumes, shouldn't we get some for the both of us?"

[Eskal]

"I don't see why not. What are you thinking about dressing up as?"

"I don't know. What kind of stuff is there?"

"Pretty much everything. We could look online for ideas."

"Okay. Sounds good."

The two of them went to the computer room and started looking at Halloween costumes.

"That looks dumb. And that. And that. That too."

"Well, what about you just not wear a costume? Like you can go without the disguise?"

"But then everyone wouldn't perceive me as speaking your human language."
