"The head's out," Amanda says, suctioning the baby's airway.
Ryne panted heavily before he pushed again, getting the baby out.
"Another girl," Amanda smiles, drying the baby. She cuts the cord, and wraps the baby in a warm blanket. "Do you want to hold her?" she asks, stretching her out to Ryne.
Ryne was hesitant at first but he nodded. "Let me hold them." He asked.
Amanda places two of the babies in his arms, and places the newest in the cradle. She steps over to Dr. Anderson and the baby, to see how he's doing.
"Is my son okay?" Ryne asked worringly.
"He's doing better. We're not breathing for him, the tube is out. He's on pressurized oxygen and we're monitoring him closely," she explains. Dr. Anderson helps her set up an iv in the newborn's tiny, fragile veins. "How are you feeling Ryne?" She sees the bit of fear in his eyes as he looks at his children. "They'll start to look more human soon, by the time they are a year old, you wan't be able to tell they're not human."
"Tired. Will he be okay though?" Ryne asked.
"Yes, he just needs a little help adjusting." Once we get all the monitors and everything secured, I'll help you hold him. 5-10 minutes, ok? Enjoy your other babies right now." She pushes the cradle right up next to the bed. "Think of some names," she smiles, going back to the baby boy.
Ryne nodded as he looked at his three daughter. "I'll name them Jade, Katrina, and Ruby." He said as he looked at each respective child.
"Beautiful," she says, listening to the baby's lungs again. "I'll bring him over for his name in just a minute." She adjusts the monitors and iv line, placing them on a tray, preparing to move the baby.
Ryne nodded as he held his three daughters.
"Go ahead and put them in the cradle," she says, preparing to move the baby. She picks the baby up, she holds him in one arm, and slowly walks him and the cart with the monitor over towards the bed. "Hold your arms out," she places the child gently in his arms. She makes sure nothing has come loose.
Ryne held his son close to him. "I'll name you Adam. You like that?" He asked his son.
"Want me to explain anything? Any of these things?" she asks, gently holding a monitor line.
Ryne shook his head. "I'm okay. As long as Adam is okay." He stated.
"Ok," she says, gently adjusting the tiny oxygen on the baby's face. "You holding up ok?"
Ryne nodded. He blushed as he had an idea. "Can...can you get me pregnant again?" He asked.
Amanda is taken back a bit. "You want to do this again?" she asked surprised. Dr. Anderson brings over a few warm bottles; handing one to Ryne, hoping the baby boy will eat.
Ryne took the bottle and fed his son. Adam happily drank from the bottle. "If it's okay. I enjoyed having life growing in me. But I want it to last a little longer." He explained.
