"We're losing him doctor!" the nurse yelled as the operating ward filled with a cacophony of warning beepers and buzzers. Almost elbow deep in the womb of his patient, Dr. Alex Johnson worked furiously to free the alien fetus from his patient's womb before it was too late. Other nurses and staff gathered around the patient trying to revive him so that Alex could finish the c section.
The one long tone from the ekg let occupants of the room know that it was too late, making it the 22 patient Dr. Johnson had worked on that had died during delivery of their alien fetus. So far, since the infection began, not a single pregnant man had survived birth. And not a single fetus had survived the ordeal either.
But this failure in the operating room carried more significance than just another loss of a patient during delivery. Visible through the bloodstained front of his scrubs and operating gown was the unmistakable bulge of a pregnant belly, the gravid arc punctuated by the point where Alex's belly button was poking against the teal fabric. Dr. Johnson was almost 8 months pregnant with a fetus of his own. And he was running out of time.

Anyone is welcome to join as either medical staff, friends of Alex, or other patients. Just introduce yourself before posting. A little about Dr. Johnson:
height: 6'5"
hair color: red
skin: fair
eye color: blue
weight before conception: 195
current weight: 246
sexual preference: straight, but the hormones are definitely starting to make Alex more willing to experiment.
