Keeping Promises and Unwavering Memories (First come first served)

"Ugh," Charlie groaned as she worked through the tense muscles. "That feels great! Where'd you learn how to do this?"

"Some of the younger ballet rats ask me for massages after performances." Matilda said as she continued to knead into Charlie's back.

"Must be more than some if you're this good! Though why not be naturally gifted at more things?" He let out a few grunts as she found some serious knots in his back and worked through them.

"Well I could cook, dance, put on make up and style hair, I'm a competent carpenter, a good older sister and a caring mother and a gentle prima ballerina." Matilda said in mock pride, though it was clear she was mocking all of her skills, she continued her massage, her hands now on his belly as she rubbed his midsection in slow small circles gently.

"I didn't know you had siblings," Charlie noted in mild surprise. "And what's this about being a mother?"
Reply

"Remember that I used to work in an orphanage? Yeah, that's what I meant, when the bosses are away, I play mom to the kids when they're there I play sister."Matilda said as she kept massaging his belly now.
Reply

"Right, I remember..." he said as he closed his eyes to enjoy her touch on his belly. "So...given your experience, then, what's your opinion about these little guys?"
Reply

"Well they try to be nice like you but they're so rowdy and big cause they didn't want to be in a cramped space anymore." She said.as one baby kicked again.
Reply

"A very astute observation..." Charlie laughed as he pushed a limb back into place. "I just hope they'll try to be nice on their way out!"
Reply

"Well let's hope your kids aren't too hard to push out then." She teased with a little grin on her face.
Reply

"Ugh! I hope not! I don't like to think about it," he responded with a nervousness that was new to his voice.
Reply

"Sorry..." She said as her face turned into a pink colour, "I should really listen to whenever they tell me I'm not funny." she mumbled looking anywhere but at Charlie.
Reply

"Oh...no, Matilda! Don't take it like that," he put a hand to her cheek and looked directly into her eyes. "I'm just scared is all. It's going to be...rough, and there's not exactly a way to prepare. I'm sorry I made you feel bad..."
Reply

"N-no you didn't make me feel bad, I just really have a terrible taste in humour." She stammered before she smiled, "Anyway, it's okay to be scared, but don't let it overwhelm you, I'm here to help you by the by." She said as she cupped his face in her hands giving his nose a gentle kiss.
Reply

"I'm glad...let's just forget about it for now. It's not for another month anyway, right?" Charlie tried to smile and force the thought out of his mind. "what do you want to do right now?"
Reply

"To be fair, all I wanna do right now is to just sit down, watch a movie and eat some sweets." She said as she snuggled up to Brandon on the couch.
Reply

"That sounds nice," Charlie said as he laid his head on hers and started browsing channels. "I think we have some cookie dough in the fridge if you're in the mood for that," he suggested.
Reply

"Okay lemme get the cookie dough and some ice cream." Matilda said as she got up and made a beeline for the fridge, returning with two spoons, a tub of pistachio ice cream and a bowl of cookie dough, "So found anything worth watching?" She asked snuggling up to him again.
Reply

"Looks like there's a few rom coms on TV..." Charlie explained, "there's also an action movie and a horror movie. What are you in the mood for?"
Reply

Matilda shrugged, "What do you feel like watching? I'm fine with all." She said as she handed him the cooking dough bowl while she began eating the pistachio ice cream.
