Zane looked confused for a minute then motion for him to be very very still he then whispered "the couldn't be up to any good he was the reason why you got kicked out more than he surely can't be here to apologize!" zane smelled trouble in the air lots of trouble which meant nothing good was to come from this visit.Zane's body tense as he heard footsteps crunching softly getting closer and closer to the cabin.Zane new trouble when he smelled it and it was coming hot and heavy off of the werewolves just inches outside the walls making his already tense body seem extremely rigid.

The wolf gave a soft whimper and shook his head. Apologize? Steven? Not a chance, if he had so many of his friends with him they were undoubtedly seeking him out for something, probably to kill him as they had always threatened. A deep snarling growl cane from outside and then the front door shook asif something had just thrown its full body weight at it.

Zane stepped off the bed lightly quickly thrown his pants and his underwear on. Zane whispered "quickly assuume wolf form if anything goes south run forget about me!" Zane had a look of sheer fire in his eyes. he wasn't about to let anyone near luka. not when he was so close to finally finding somebody who would love him back for who he was.

"Like hell" he hisses back "i just got you... im not going to leave my mate here alone with them!" He protests

he quickly braced himself as four large wolves crashed into the room. jaws snaped and snarls were heared.

The wolves all seemed to ignore zane and tried to charge for Luka who had yelped in surprise and tried to escape their reach. He was soon penned into a corner by them. "J....j...just go away" he says with a whimper "im not on pack land, im no threat to you, just leave me alone!"

Zane seeing him pinned let out a ferocious Roar that no man nor Beast alike ever Unleashed. he then said without even thinking about it "you touch him and I swear I will kill all of you I don't care if you're the alpha son or not you will die right here and right now remain with your hands Paws claws whatever you want to call them off of my mate he's marked he's mine!" Zane charged at the nearest wolf grabbing it by the tail and slung it across the room snarling at them daring them to challenge him as he slid his body in front of Luka acting as a shield.

Luka looked lovingly at his mate and smiled before looking back to the wolves "you know the laws, right now we are in nomans land, i...if he kills you its perfectly legal" he says voice shaking a little "y...your not even supposed to cross the border without the a...alpha with you" he adds. The others huff, the alphas son changing to anthro form "know this you two, your days are numbered" he simply says beflre leaving

zane stood his ground till they left. he then wraped luka in his arms and carried him bridal style to the bed.

Luka sigh and waits a little bit before he speaks "we cant stay here" ge says softly and pulls out an old map "not too far from here is an old town" he says pointing on the map "unlike here, where we are closed in by tgree packs, the town only has one pack against its borders... it was abandoned in the last big bush fire and noone wanted to resettle... it should be a better place for us to stay than here" he says

zane wanted to be careful so he just sat there and listened to luka. Zane noticed that luka as he was pointing things out over his shoulder had a strange smell. the smell was sweet and kind of flora almost. it wasnt unpleasant it jaust wasnt what luka normaly smelled like. from what he had smelled earlyer it was way different.

"Only downside is we will need to cross here" he says pointing to a river on the map the river isnt very deep but its also not very wide... and either side is pack lands... we will need to trudge through the water for about a kilometer before we are through" he says then looks to Zane "but once through we should be golden.... everything ok?" He asks worriedly

At the mention of the river the dragon cringed. He hated water it was wet and cold and always made his skin crawl. He nooded in response the water part still bothering him. He didn't have the heart to tell luka he really didn't aNybwater anywhere near him. As he looked at the trail Zane noticed a set of cliffs not far from the where they would get out. "Why not cliff dwell there just off the path a quarter mile. There's a stone stair way hidden in the cliff face that leads to a large under ground sprin. The cave is lit by glow worms. Why not home up there?"

"Trolls" he grumbles softly "a pack once tried to move in, didnt get far... trust me i did think of it... unless we can fly over the pack lands somehow, this is our only option... thankfully once past all these packs there arent any for quite a distance"

Zane shuddered but didn't disagree further. He just kept wondering why luka sdmelled so funny. As he packed up

Finally having everything packed and having even found thick warm clothes in the shack for Zane, Luka started leading him towards their destination, unaware that his sccent had changed "everything ok?" He asks barely holding in the 'Alpha' and 'hon'

Zane still was unsure of said plan but whent along with it. He hualed the pack on his back and followed luka out.

Luka stayed close to his newfound mate. He kept an eye on him as they walked and also on the areas around them looking for any wolves who may attack them. Thankfully they were heading away from his birth pack, and the others werent going to be after his blood unless they crossed into their territories.

As hours passed zane started to feel sick. He needed to get warm but didnt want to say anything to luks. Hos pride to big for such a request. As he walked along in the clear creek lost his footing but quickly cuaght himself. He noticed luka hadnt saw and sighed. He wasnt weak there could be much father.
