"The doctor did say as I was about to be put under that it would be at least 5 weeks and they are to transfer me to a family room here in the ICU tonight and I hear that it's got a seperate bedroom so you'll be able to stay in there whilst I recover and it's got everything that's needed." 4 weeks pass, and Cliff and Darol are a week away from being able to return home and leave the hospital. Cliff is almost starting his 2 nd trimester, and his belly has gotten bigger and his symptoms are much more apparent.

Darol has been told that he is well enough to leave for home early, and does not need to take anti-rejection meds. The transplant had been minimally invasive and used new techniques which meant that there was no need to have an open chest for any of it. It was then that Darol received some news, and it was a surprise.
