Hunter kissed his head gently “I’m sorry baby, I know this is hard on you but you’re doing so well” he said softly

"Th-Thank you... I love you" Shadow forces a smile through the pain, trying to ease his mate's worries.

Hunter smiled gently “I love you too” he said softly stroking his fur, feeling his body tense under his touch and his stomach contract tightly

"...ngh...ow ow ow ow..." Shadow whimpers through clenched teeth.

Hunter continued to stroke his fur “Good work baby, just keep panting, you’re doing so good” he said softly waiting for the contraction to end

"H-How are we go going to...hngh...get it unstuck...?" Shadow whimpers, shaking slightly.

Hunter bit his lip, he has an idea but didn’t want it to come to that “Let’s get you up and walk around between contractions, I know you don’t have long between each but it might help move it” he said not too sure if this would work

Shadow nods frantically "A-Anything..."

Hunter stroked his fur “Baby, I know you wanted to stay in wolf form but to walk around it might be easier in human form because I can help you stay up in human form” he said softly

Shadow nods and shifts into his human form, slowly standing up with Hunter's help.

Hunter rubbed his back gently “You’re doing so well” he said holding him up gently and started to walk around the den with him stopping whenever he felt him tense and watched his stomach contracting harshly again

Shadow wraps his arms around Hunter as they walk, clinging to him tightly and panting whenever his belly contracts.

Hunter kissed his head softly “That’s it, keep panting” he said softly. They walked around for about an hour with Shadow contracting harshly every minute or so. “Do you feel any movement?” He asked softly right before another contraction squeezed his stomach

Hunter kissed his head softly “Let’s go back to the nest, we’ve been walking for a while, you probably need to rest and get back some energy” he said softly and led him back over to the nest stopping at another contraction

Shadow whines softly and pants through the pain before stepping into the nest and laying down to rest.

Hunter holds him gently in his arms rubbing his back gently “You’re doing so well, you’re so strong” he said softly looking up and seeing the sun rising outside meaning Shadow had been labouring for at least 16 hours.

"...I'm tired" Shadow groans softly and snuggles close to Hunter.

Hunter held him close “I know babe, you’re doing so good, it will be all over soon” he said kissing his head worriedly. Hunter held him for another few hours with Shadow contracting every minute or so, Hunter had bitten him three times trying to give him more adrenaline but the baby was just not moving. He stroked his hair gently as he watched another harsh contraction squeeze his stomach
