Simon followed, trying his best to remain as quiet as possible through the underbrush; whatever they were, the shadows didn't look pleasant. He wondered if he were being led closer to or further away from the plane, and for that matter, whether the kid might be leading him into something even less pleasant....but absent any other choices than "wander around in the jungle", he didn't really have an alternative.
