Simon grabbed the book. "Thanks." He got the window open and looked out; it seemed bizarre, and exhausting, to be having to run yet again, and part of him wondered whether he shouldn't just stay and risk it and have the eggs removed simply to stop having to worry about travel and food and how the hell these things would ever come out of him.
