"Ha. Yes, actually...That's a lot of people back there," Kaga stretched and began to dig through the debris himself. "You haven't seen a green backpack with a- Wait, is this it? No..."

"...and to think I signed up thinking this would be a vacation. Work on some papers, see the Caribbean, meet people...At least I've got the last part down. That stupid documentary show that was going to report on the findings is going to get the scoop of its existence if they can get anything filmed." He tossed aside a camera tripod, probably for the aforementioned documentary crew. Come to think of it, he hadn't seen any of them- had the show crew been among the people captured? Likely.

"Yea. We've certainly met a lot of interesting things and people." All of the inhabitants there had all resembled certain animals from their actual home lands. It was odd yet fascinating to know that not everything had changed. One thing was changing within Keith however that in a way happened from both the bite on his shoulder to the kiss he shared with Len. He would not tell the other that a part of him really enjoyed being licked as he was trying to make out why that was. "We'll figure out what happened to them. The sooner, the better. I can't imagine them being enslaves and forced to bear those things offsprings." He turned to fully look at Kaga, a thought on his mind. "Does Ryun...make you feel a certain way though?" He was hoping he was hoping that somebody else was could help him figure out what was going on rather than talking to Air or someone else about the situation. Hopefully no one was listening in to their conversation.

Jake watches the two humans from a safe distance. sure he acts like he doesn't care about them, and he doesn't, but Len wants to help these humans so if they get lost or captured then it will undo all that Len is trying to do. Jake doesn't want his leader hurt or upset for any reason after all the liger has done for him jake figures he owes Len that much. Not that it's easy watching two clueless humans. He has had to kill quite a few of the shadow creatures that try to go after Kaga, Ryun's scent isn't over that human enough.

"A certain way?" Simon asks, finally unearthing his pack and putting it on. "Well, I do feel...attached to him, even though he could turn me to stone. I feel like I have to stay with him, and I don't think it's all just friendship or fear of being enslaved. It worries me a bit, honestly. He's kind, but I hardly know him." The bite near his collarbone still ached with a faint longing of some kind. "Is it the same between you and Len?"

Keith nodded. He was not exactly the kind of person known for expressing emotions exactly right, but he wanted to admit he actually had developed a crush on the Liger male.

"Yea...there's something imposing about him that I..." Could he say he actually liked him or was there some twisted fate presently at hand? He did not think too much about it as he noticed a few figures lurking nearby. "Let's get going before anything else happens." He could protect them both of needed, but he had a feeling something or someone else was lurking and picking certain beings off one by one.

"Agreed," There was something going on, and he'd rather it not end with being...bred by shadow monsters. If it came down to that, he'd rather just grab Ryun's hand and be a crystal. It was morbid to think about, but he did think it would probably be relatively painless. Trusty crowbar in hand, he started to return to camp.

The shadow creatures seemed to be thicker between them and the camp. On occasion they can see a gold and black blur zipping by taking one or two of the creatures with it. Getting to camp is likely to be very hard.

Kaga decided that his crowbar would be ineffectual at best- he'd have to rely on simple running, and tried to stick near Keith for some attempt at safety in numbers. Heading for the areas where the blur had just been seemed to be the safest.

Keith sighed a bit. It seemed the shadow fiends were being a bit more active than realized, though the male was positive him and Kaga had nothing to worry about. He gripped the long sharp knife just in case the situation called for a close encounter. He began to noticed a path created by the blur attacking the monsters and not one to miss an opportunity, he followed along the path in order to make it back with Simon safely. The thought did not cross his mind that one of them could get captured because he was confident in his abilities to keep them safe as well as the figure or figures that were fighting the monsters. As one of the monsters drew near, his blade rested in the back of its spine near the skull as he pulled t out quickly, black liquid being left on the blade.

The blur seems to be trying its best to help them but one of the shadow creatures strikes it. Causing it to fall not far away from the wreck. It starts to swear rather angrily and tries to get up. The creatures are starting to move towards the injured person.

"H...hey!" Kaga felt as though something was creeping up his leg and looked down to see a shadow creature lying practically flat in the grass. In reaction, he started hitting it with the crowbar while it did its level best to pull him down, and finally yanked free, although he was unsure how much actual damage he'd done- some black liquid had spattered around, but it was very hard to tell how much damage could be lethal to a thing made of shadow.

He started moving towards the injured person, actually shouting- he might not have been much of a fighter, but was unwilling to see anyone die in front of him.

Keith had stopped when he noticed the shadow monsters had taken down their friend. He mentally cursed before running down the opposite direction to help Simon and the figure both. He cut one of the monsters across it's gut, spinning around to fire his gun as the bullet hit another in the forehead, before he finished the gut spilling being off. He fired a few more shots before jumping on the back of a monster as he began to slash at it.

The figure is fighting the creatures off with three limbs. It's arms and a tail. The figure looks like jake. It manages to get up and over towards them "please tell me you have more then a metal rod." He is bleeding from his shoulder.

"Keith has all the weaponry," Kaga panted, bashing at something else that got too close. "I'm a biologist, not a...." Words failed him for the moment. "...army guy?" He reached hurriedly for the first aid kit he'd grabbed from the wreckage. "Your shoulder-"

[Okamiryun]

Jake shakes his head "don't worry about my shoulder it will be fine. We need to get back to the others before we are captured. I didn't get away just to be captured again." He pulls a sword out of his cloak and hands it to Kaga. "Use that it works better then a rod."

Keith killed a few more of the monsters before he neared the other two.

"I have a clearing up ahead. Let's get moving before we are overran." He snapped a neck as he urged them to move a bit faster.

Kaga heard the necksnap, which didn't sound much like it did in action movies at all, and had to cringe. "Uh, thanks- Right, time to go." He stuck close to the people who actually knew what they were doing- he was awkward with a sword, but the creatures actually seemed to give it more of a wide berth than they ever had the "rod"- and tried not to act too much like dead weight, which he suspected he kind of was. This world didn't seem to be a great place for civilians.

Jake nods and starts running again quickly blurring out again. He starts to carve a path through the shadow feinds. The pain in his shoulder slows him down a bit but not enough to matter. It annoys him that Kieth dares try to order him about but the human is right they have to hurry. "Got anything big and flashy we will need help!"

Keith grabbed his bag and pulled out a grenade.

"Not exactly big, but it gets the job done." He did not have one too many lying around in his bag, so upon pulling the pin out, he held it briefly before throwing it in the shadow monsters direction. The explosion went off with numerous monsters howling in pain and others not very fortunate at all. Keith continued to follow behind everyone else to make sure they were safe.

Once they get to the others air quickly makes a barrier out of magic. Len is frantic and hurries toward them. "in the cart quickly!" A red haired female that is very pregnant pulls jake inside "you too assassin. I'm healing that shoulder." Len seems rather protective of this female.
