Keith glanced at Air.

"Yea, everything's fine. I'm just memorizing the area is all." With the sun in the sky, he could see things a bit better, especially now that the chaos around them had seemingly calmed down. There appeared to be tension within the crate however as Rai had emerged outside. Keith glanced in his direction and caught the look of annoyance before he took off. "Did I...do something wrong?"

Kaga unfolded himself from the chair he'd gone to sleep in, cracked his neck, and for a few moments drew a blank on where he was, since this didn't look like the hotel the expedition was supposed to have- Oh. That's right. Bermuda Triangle. Monsters. At least it smelled like someone was cooking, and he could definitely use something to eat right now before the group started planning to save the captured or get the ill-fated expedition to a safe town.

He shook his head and stood up, then noticing that Ryun was awake. "Oh. Morning- do you want me to get you any food?"

Air nods "ah well hopefully we can get you guys home safely. As for rai don't let him bother you. He just rembers the time on earth. He was labeled as a demon on earth and hunted by humans. Once on this world he was tricked and sealed into a rock he has been alive for eons till we found and released him. It will take a bit of time but he will get over it."

Ryun shakes his head "no but thanks. Besides your probably hungry too. Why don't we both go eat?" He gets up and offers a gloved hand toward Kaga.

"Actually, I am. Let's go." Kaga took the outstretched hand without really thinking about it. "That was amazing, last night- it was like something out of a novel. I'd never seen an actual dragon before, much less gotten to hitch a ride." They were heading outside, towards the food smell. "So, uh, what do we do now, or do you guys yet know?"

Ryun blushes a bit "it wasn't much I mearly use all the minerals in my body to take on the form of the dragon that blessed my kin with our ability to make and create crystals and gems. I kinda have to do it once a month or I'll turn into a crystal myself. That is a slow and painful process I don't want to go through." He notices the food cooking itself "ah Air is cooking."

"I hope so..." Keith said while staring in the distance the male had run off in. It was hard for anyone to truly accept people of certain ethnic backgrounds if they did something to scar them for life, he was certain. His response was also to the task of them finding a way back to their actual homes. "The food smells good. What are you preparing?" He would thank Len for acquiring the resources as the male thought to do so as early as he could himself.

Kaga greeted Air and Keith. " 'Morning. You guys are life savers."

Hearing what Ryun was telling him, he actually wasn't sure how much of a blessing his ability could be, if it ran a risk of both operating out of control and killing the host- still, evolution, or maybe even spirit dragons, worked in mysterious ways. "Once a month? ...Huh. If you start turning into a crystal, is the process reversible?"

[Okamiryun]

Air nods and smiles "oh this I'm making some eggs, thin slices of meat and some of your pancake mix. I hope you don't mind but I read you minds to find what you all usually have. This is what I got." He nods a to Ryun and Kaga "good morning Ryun and umm I don't think we have traded names fully have we?"

Ryun shakes his head "no we haven't. Also yes it is reversable to a point. Once a full limb has been covered it's gone for good, but for most of my kin this can take a long time. I'm just special in a way."
Air laughs "in a way? you got double blessed by the crystal dragon! if he doesn't find a mate by the time he is 30 he becomes a crystal dragon baby. See being the last of its kind means it need to make young in a diffrent way. So when Ryun was a baby the dragon increased ryuns abilities. The dragons enemy didn't want this and cursed Ryun with more downsides to his power then good. That will go away one way or another."

"Simon Kaga. You're Air? Pleased to meet you." Simon turned his attention to the breakfast, uncomfortable with the idea of having his mind read so casually- not that there was anything terribly interesting in there in the first place, he reasoned, but it was his own mind. What was also interesting was yet another fact- Ryun was the last of his kind? (Probably thanks to this "evil one".) It must have been a lonely life...

"If you don't mind me asking, how old are you now?" It was hard to tell.

Keith felt an invasion of privacy. The male had experienced a lot of things in his life he didn't want too many prying inside for, but he wasn't irritated. Hopefully all Air had done was just pry into what his food preferences were alone rather than anything else.

"No harm done I suppose" he simply said. "So how long has this been going on for you all? I mean how many of each race is left?" Keith wasn't exactly sure how to piece it right with his words, but he wanted to know if they were going extinct and the other creatures were beginning to take over.

Air thinks "well the pure elves left on their spaceship leaving most of the mixed elves behind, myself included. The crystal humans have three people left, that's ryuns people, very few of each dragon race is left. Some have taken to mix breeding to servive. Humans are doing well dispite great losses, you guys are like rabbits! No one knows how the dross fair. Some say they are helping the dark one, but that's just rumor. The shifters are also doing well. Hmmmm who else is there? Oh yea the human mixes like centaurs and naga are in hiding."

Ryun glances at kags and gathers some of the bacon and eggs. "I'm 22. 8 years from becoming a dragonling." He sits down by the cart "how old are you?"

Keith was a bit astonished at how Air explained various races here and there. It sounded like he has a lot to look forward to while attempting to get back home while also rescuing the others from the dark creatures.

"So how safe is this safe town?" He really wanted to get out and explore, but presently there were too many unknown factors presenting themselves. "Aside from our dark friends, are there any more known hostiles?"

Air gets his own food "well the one we are going to is very safe only two days away and it has a dragon guarding it. As for other hostiles there are some but they mostly went to the other continents." He starts to eat the food "if might taste diffrent as I didn't use all of your normal ingredients."

"Me? I'm twenty-four," Kaga started eating- it did taste a little bit different, but he probably wouldn't have realized if Air hadn't told him, and said so. "Are the other continents in danger from this "evil one" as well?" Given the state of technology, it probably wouldn't be possible to go to another continent for help, but it couldn't hurt to ask.

[Okamiryun]

Air shrugs "I don't know info doesn't go between them anymore. It use to be that you could go to an elf outpost and info would go quickly between the places but now the elves have left and not many can use the out post or the tech" the cart door opens and female with a skunk tail walks out " I'm not staying in the cart while you all eat." She seems very annoyed.

"Other continents, huh?" It seemed Keith had a lot of work cut out for him, but the two primary issues remained most important. He could figure out explanations later. As he ate a little however, another person had stepped out, a female, with another annoyed expression. If he had to guess, humans rubbed her the wrong way as well and the crowded environment was just too much. "I should probably begin waking everyone up and getting a move on as soon as possible then..."

She gathers food and sits by the door though she strangely smells sweet instead of bad. Air sighs "this is Stella, she is a skunk shifter with a scent problem." She nods "I'm also a mechanic and tierd of being locked in the cart."

"I see..." At least his thoughts were to himself if Air did not pry inside to look. "How long have you all been living like this?" Eventually they would have to leave out he was certain. If the town was safe, then their best bet was to head there immediately. He headed back inside, deciding to check in on Len who was seemingly out of it. Probably everything he did the night before took a toll on him.

"They lock you up?" Kaga raised an eyebrow at Stella. "Oh. Uh, metaphorically. I'm sorry, I'm still out of it. Pleased to meet you." He shook his head, then turned to Air and Ryun. "Is there anything I can help you guys with? I don't want to be dead weight."

[Okamiryun]

Air sighs "it's been like this for 20 years." Stella sighs "air and rai are the only ones to rember time before the dark ones attack. Len is the one who gathered us together. Yes me and Shiko stay inside the cart for safety mostly it annoys me and Shiko is too heart broken to say or do much." Len wakes up and walks out "huh? What's going on?"
