Lost Expedition (NSFW, Still Open for now)

Keith remained sitting until the transportation was over. He rose from his position, but rather than focusing on leaving out, he was a bit more concerned towards why Len would have told Air to hide him from Jake. What was the toll he paid for, if he had to guess, using this magic? He stepped outside, taking the sights of the town in for himself, but the male honestly had a lot of work cut out for him. There was one that was more solid presently however.

"Air...is he alright?" He asked, a bit concerned.

"No...I assume it won't," Simon answered the harpy, taking another look past him and out the exit before finding a spot near the fire and sitting back down, outwardly submissive but keeping an eye on his captor. Learning the harpy's routine (if he had one) might be helpful.

Air nods and sighs "Len has power over fire and shadows but isn't fire proof. He turned himself into a large fire liger so he is a bit burnt but very much alive and well."

The harpy sticks around till he gets very bored and goes for a flight he stays near his cave though determined to not let Simon out of sight.

Simon looked around the nest, still seeing a flash of wings in the sky, and decided to start cleaning up- maybe it would do something about the smell. He didn't have a broom, but one of the sticks, some string, and some discarded feathers made a decent substitute. As he was trying to push the trash off into a corner, he kept an eye out for anything that looked useful, or sharp. He knew he was not exactly the greatest fighter in the world, and that injuring Raven might make things worse, but having a pointy thing might be useful for making things or, if he got really desperate, at least making an assailant hurt some.

There are rocks some are close to a sharp point but it might take a bit to make it completely useful. A particularly strong wing blows in the sent of the sea. Raven comes in when that happens "a storm is brewing we will need to take shealter in the back of the cave. If you set it up I can get us some food for the night."
Reply

As soon as Raven left, Simon grabbed and stashed one of the pointier rocks, then started making the back of the cave a bit more fit for habitation. (So much for trying to sneak out while the harpy was sleeping, at least tonight.) He tried to set up a place for them both to bed down that would still allow him to keep some distance, and let them restart the fire.

Raven comes back fare a bit and gets the fire started "you won't want to spend the night alone. It might still get very cold." Once the food is well cooked he stores the cooked fish and things in a crack.

"I suppose so." Simon still didn't like the idea of spending the night close to the harpy, but didn't relish the idea of freezing much either. His belly felt full and firm, and a little warm, and touching it made him feel sick, both physically and with the knowledge that multiple eggs were growing inside him, and that his own uselessness to Len's group was what had gotten him here in the first place- they were likely glad he was gone. And, of course, there were other humans undergoing the same fate elsewhere in the harpy colony...

"Please, don't-" He stopped short; "don't touch me" sounded so pathetic. "...well, then."

Keith merely sighed as he glanced at the skies a bit. With rain beginning to set in, he was delayed a bit further.

"I'll just go look around the town or something" he rubbed the stubble on his face partially as he contemplated his next few set of moves. He honestly hoped Jake would not see Len in such a burned state. "Is there anything I could do to help him?"
Reply

Raven blinks and nods "o-ok. I will not touch you." He grabs all of his blankets and puts them down by Simon. The storm comes in full force after a few minuets.

Air nods "go ahead. Just do be careful getting lost in the town isn't much fun either." Darkfire grins "can I come with I don't get to see the towns very much."

"Thank you." Simon's back was to the wall; he left most of the pile of blankets for Raven's use, and watched the lashing rain, unwilling to go to sleep.

Raven sighs and sleeps after a while. In the morning the storm finally clears up. Raven wakes up and looks around.

Much against his better judgement, Simon continued to pick his way down what looked like the safest path outside the cave, as carefully as possible; the rocks were wet and he had to grab onto plants and dirt whenever possible to avoid going clean off the side of the crag. He was also wet, and cold, and unsure where he had gotten those bruises on his legs, but it was an improvement over when he'd started to escape, when he'd hardly been able to see.

The morning light might make things inconvenient, as the harpies, including Raven, were probably waking up, but at least he had tried before a growing body would have made things infinitely harder.

Raven notices Simon is missing and flies out. He quickly spots the humans and swoops in. "Good to know your alive, but are you really this desperate to get away? I had kinda thought you didn't mind it too much."
Reply

"I had to see if it was possible," Simon was embarrassed and a bit wild-eyed from lack of sleep, holding his blanket around his hips. "I'm grateful not to have been treated worse and sort of understand why the harpies would resort to these methods, but I still don't-" He sighed. "I'm a prisoner and a broodmare and I know it, but I don't have to like it. Although I have no objections to you personally, since you're doing as instructed."

"Yea and sure thing" Keith said to both Air and Darkfire. He headed outside the cart, glancing upwards as some rain began to fall into the night air. Keith kept his guard up a bit while turning to look at the younger male. "Let's try not to get lost then? Any place or area you have in mind?"
Reply

Darkfire nods "I won't get lost and yea I wanna see some other kids. I'm kinda the only one currently." He grins very exited to see the town.

Raven sighs "well lucky you the storm happened and you fell." He smiles and helps Simon to the top of the cliff "if you could just tell the hatchlings the truth of my kin then I would be grateful." He quickly flies back into his cave.
Reply

"What-" Simon was, for the moment, stunned, but managed to call out "Thank you...." as he saw Raven disappear.

He would remember, but for now it was time to go. He was counting on his condition and the scent he probably carried by this time to keep the shadows off him; the question was, where to go. It was easiest to head away from the harpies' seacliff, towards the sunrise.

"Kinda the other one? You mean with your possé?" Keith wasn't exactly sure where in the town the kid was going to meet other children, but he let the boy lead the way. Nothing could go wrong in a "safe" town right?
Reply

The shadows ignore simon. He sees a lot of trees and an old path.

Darkfire nods "yea I'm the only kid in the group, that is till Shiko has her kids." Darkfire grins and points to a small park where some kids are playing happily.
