[Okamiryun]

Spark's flies up and lights on fire. Nillik swoops down and lands in front Simon. Alarms start to go off and people are freaking out. Nillik picks Simon up quickly taking flight just as people start throwing spears and shooting arrows.

"Well, I guess I've definitely overstayed my welcome-" Simon had expected to have a quieter exit. "I'm- I'm sorry to call on you like this, but I wasn't sure- they were going to cut me open, I didn't think I wanted to trust them not to kill me-" He hung on.

[Okamiryun]

Nillik nods "I couldn't tell what was going on just that sparks signaled danger. So they wanted to cut you up? To get rid of the eggs I'm guessing?" His flight seems different from before, slower.

[stoichornet]

"That's it, I don't- I don't really want them inside me, but cutting them out-" Simon was hoping he wasn't weighing his rescuer down too much- he'd noticed the change in flight speed. "Are you all right? You haven't been hit?"

[SRuiz]

Keith looked at what equipment was provided for making waffles. They were given a lot for the expedition, a fool's errand in itself. Crossing the triangle was foolish yet, here he was alive and attempting to learn more about the present civilization.

"That I can at least make" he finished with the fruit before heading in Air and Len's direction. He looked at some of the brought mixtures for their travels and immediately began to whip the batter in the bowl he was provided. It honestly shocked him at how well he knew to prepare some meals when he generally assumed he was the worst. Yet, however, he paid it little mind and after ten minutes in, he was already working on other meals such as cooking the ham and fixing the eggs.

Nillik nods and lands infrount of a cave. "We can rest here not many people like to come near this place." He leaves his left wing slightly open "there is a med kit inside so I'll be ok." Sparks lands on nilliks shoulder.

Len and air help serve the others as they wake up. Most of the humans decid to stay in town. Air tells them where they can stay while they go on the rescue mission.

[stoichornet]

"I'll get it, then. Where is it?" Simon headed inside. "I know a little first aid, so..." He felt pretty guilty for getting his rescuer hurt for his sake.

[Okamiryun]

Nillik walks into the cave. In the back of the cave is an old lab. "It's under the table. Smallish white box." Sparks flies to a fire pit and starts a small fire. The firebird rests in the fire.

"Is this yours?" Simon was surprised to see any sort of installation in a cavern here, and wondered who the lab could have belonged to. He found the box under an old examination table and looked inside to make sure everything was there before bringing it back to Nillik.

On his way past the fire pit, he thanked Sparks again softly, having grown to like the bird.

[Okamiryun]

Nillik nods "in a way, I was mad like this here a long time ago." He opens his wing showing the arrow near his wing bones. "This is going to suck." The arrow has gone through. He breaks the arrow and pushes the rest through.
The firebird chirps sleepily and rests.

Simon cringed, watching, then started to clean and bandage the wound using the supplies in the first aid kit. "Impaled object wound. Great."

"You were made?" The question was awkward- it would certainly explain his unique appearance, though. "Does this have anything to do with a man named Zero, by any chance?"

[Okamiryun]

Nillik winces and shakes his head. "No I was made by a human that found me as a child 60 years ago. He merged me with a barn owl useing a type of dark magic. Your a good medic thanks."

[stoichornet]

"Thank you, I'm glad I could help." Simon wondered about the physics and level of genetic tinkering involved that would have been required to combine a humanoid and an owl, and then wondered why he was still surprised- magic was still taking some getting used to. "I might need to change the bandages in a couple of hours."

He still couldn't really tell how many eggs he was carrying- about three or four seemed average, according to Raven, and way too many according to Simon himself. The lab itself seemed old, but mostly functional still, and might be able to be usable with a few repairs.

Nillik nods "ok thanks." He watches Simon look around at the lab. "So do you know how to use any of this?"

When Keith was finished eating, he began to prepare himself for the adventure ahead. He armed himself with the long knife and reloaded his pistol just to be certain. He may not have had the magic or powers Len and the others had, but he could certainly handle himself in a situation. He headed out the room and made his way over to those getting ready to head out on the rescue mission.

"I'm ready when you all are." He moved in Len's general direction. "I'm also ready to get the marking and scenting done again if you are."

[Okamiryun]

Len nods."ok, we can do that in the cart. The others have gotten it ready so it will go faster." Air is on top of the cart muttering magic words. Rai is in his Jagure form hooked onto a harness along. Jake is sitting by Air ready to attack any enemy.

"Alright then" he simply nodded and made his way inside. When the doors were closed, Keith rolled up the sleeve of his shirt once more, awaiting for Len to bite him. He seemed a bit anxious in wanting to be marked by the Leader however, though that probably also because he was ready to try and rescue Simon and the others. "Have you ever had an actual mate before, if you don't mind me asking?" He did see a few pregnant figures among the group and saw how certain individuals were overprotective over them a bit further than he could genuinely assume.

Len bites Keith's shoulder quickly. "No I haven't had a mate. My younger brother did though. I'm uncertain about my older brother. Most of my group is unmated and only one has a mating mark, that's Shiko." He seems sad about something.

[SRuiz]

Keith's muscles tensed a bit from being bit, but afterwards, he was back to wrapping the marking back up. Upon turning around to see Len for the next part, he noticed the male's facial expression.

"Everything alright?" He probably could tell him that everything was fine, but clearly from the look in his face, he seemed a bit down and out about something. Maybe his question had struck a low blow that he otherwise was not intending to happen. A part of Keith honestly longed to have Len a bit further than just being a part time mate. He was relieved to know that Len was in a sense still on the market. "With someone who has excellent qualities like yourself, I'm certain you'll find someone to have kids with eventually." He assured him while rubbing Len's shoulders partially with a small smile. He pushed his nerves back down and raised the liger's chin upwards, bringing him in to an embrace as he kissed him passionately and deeply.

Len sighs "it's all ok, I just miss my younger brother. Nothing for you to worry yourself over though. The past can't be changed after all." He puts on a fake smile.
