Lost Expedition (NSFW, Still Open for now)

(Excellent!)

Simon decided to hang onto the book in case he ever ran across Len and company again; they might be able to make some use out of this. He felt sorry for Tiger- and more than a bit angry at Zero's logic. "...I'm fairly certain that the presence of a hero doesn't mean that a villain's presence is mandatory..." He realized he was talking to himself, and decided to put in some work helping clean the place.

Nillik blinks "huh what did you say?" He comes into the cave with two rabbits. Sparks lights the fire. "Well whatever it is I got some food."

"Hmm...oh, just this thing I've been reading. It's a record of real events, and someone's behavior in it would really be angering me even if I hadn't met him in real life." Simon continued to sweep out the corners. "...Do the villagers ever bother you up here?"
Reply

He looks away "just once but that was 3 years ago. It didn't end well for any one." He gets started on cooking the rabbit.

Keith followed closely, though in all honesty, he felt like drifting away. The further and further they had gotten into the forest, the male was beginning to wonder where all of this would lead.

((Sorry for the delay, but I have no idea what to do at this point o uo.))

(Finding the castle spotting the corpses of those that tried to attack the castle before. Honestly I'm uncertain how true to this world I can be with our rating. I certainly have a lot more freedom then what most places allow.)

Things are quiet till Keith steps on something that cracks like bone. Len and company are easily avoiding everything and are instantly surprised by the sudden noise. Rai huffs and walks on as jake jumps down by Keith "shhh we would rather not awaken the gaurdein."

"No, I would imagine it didn't." Simon nodded. He put the book away, in "his" corner. "...what does Sparks eat? I don't think I've seen him eat with us yet." He wondered where Keith was....despite his short time with the group, they were really his only connection to "civilization" around here.

((No worries lol. I may message you about getting fuller details to the world as sometimes I feel a bit lost or unsure how to fully react to situations o u o )

As he walked further and further down the makeshift path the rainforest was providing, his boot stepped on something that gave a very audible crunch. He listened to the others warn him to stay quiet, but he felt compelled to glance down and see what he made contact with. To stay the least, it did not feel like a twig and when his blue eyes spotted the old gray bones of somebody's remains, a chill ran down his spine. It wasn't just in that area, but mostly around them. Keith had no powers to truly move away from this path and the moment his boots planted into the ground away from it, the soft contact indicated him he was near either mud or quicksand and his boots were designed for the former rather than the latter.

"Well I'm going to need a little help getting past this part" he said quietly to Jake as he moved a bit more slowly to avoid making more noise and stepping on bones. From the distance, he could see pillars and large stones that looked to make a building. It looked old in the designs, perhaps medieval.

Nillik smiles "sparks is a fire bird and as such absorbs fire. It's all he needs to keep his system going on occasion he will take a treat but too much food will hurt him. His flock left him behind when hunters caught him. I couldn't leave the fella trapped like that so I freed him. He has followed me ever sence." Sparks puffs up letting a few sparks shoot off his tail as he lands in the fire.

(It's ok I enjoy sharing my world with people and I am trying to convay it to the best of my ability. With out spoiling anything important.)

Jake nods and signals for Len to come over. Len turns into his liger form and whispers "get on I can help you to the castle." Jake nods and hurries off quickly and quietly. Air's voice fills his mind <we are at the outer wall. Every one get in and stick to the left I have made a hidden zone for us to rest and plan before going into the inner wall and castle.> Len looks towards the ruins and nods.

Keith partially blushed.

"Sure thing." He looked at the male that had essentially become a beast or animal in his case. He climbed on his back and waited for Len to get him through the area. He looked at the ruins, keeping close watch in case this "guardian" was lurking around and not sleeping.

Len runs his paws making the trip mostly quiet. Len hurries to the meet up point where toke and darkfire are making a map. The others come in as well.

Keith hopped off once he was in the clear. He made his way over to some familiar faces as they were working on a map. That wa honestly his field of expertise, but granted he had no idea where they were exactly at as his mind was a bit preoccupied from riding on the back of someone, he just sat and wait before speaking.

"Need me for anything?"
Reply

Len nods "yea we need every one." He places a pebble on the map"this is where we are." He puts another in the castle "we need to go here. Dark fire, toke tell us what you saw." Toke places black pebbles in multiple locations "we saw multiple shadow creatures and two gaurd dogs." He places two red pebbles by what must be the gate to the castle. Len nods "we can't get past all of these with out waking the gaurdein. Not with out some time, and I don't think we have a lot of time left."

Keith merely nodded and watched the makeshift map to get an accurate description of what was going on. He rubbed his chin partially before a thought played into his mind.

"What exactly is this guardian?" If it was something neutral, neither an ally or an enemy, they could spare themselves an ordeal by actually waking it up. The way he was beginning to see it, the guardian would handle the issue for them and they could actually get to their objective while both it and the enemies were preoccupied. "Should we draw it out?"
Reply

Jake sighs "the gaurdein is a large shadow dragon that attacks anything that wakes it up. Unlike the shadow creatures it's a living creature. If we wake it up I can get it to attack the shadow creatures but then I don't know if I could ever get free from it again." Len shakes his head "we don't sacrifice people but it is a plan idea."
Reply

"I see..."

Keith had an idea that could probably work, though he was not certain how some may feel about the matter. "I have a few things in this bag of mine that can wake it up from a distance. I even have some I can just go up to its face and say "hi." In other words, he was volunteering himself. He did not come this way to not help out where he could. "That way, everyone is spared of having to deal with it directly."
Reply

Jake looks at Keith "if you woke it up close it would just eat you then not help at all. I can wake it up and live but I'd rather not be stuck in a nest again." Air "I can make some cover after we draw it close." Len "Keith how can you wake it up from a distance?"
Reply

Keith reached into the bag he carried, revealing a few of the several explosives he carried with him.

"I don't need to get directly to its nest. Give me a few key points of the place and I can blow them. This guardian will come running out in fury attack those shadows monsters and we would already be out of sight and out of mind." Presently, he wanted to venture out on his own. He appreciated the effort to keep him "safe," but not allowing him to use his own skills would genuinely make him sloppy. He needed to do something for himself other than run and drink and mope and lie around. That's what it felt like for the past four days. He has people to help and he was procuring that idea with the skills he had.

"Just from following you all, I have most of this place mapped out."
Reply

Len looks at the explosives "explain how we would be long gone if we need to get inside the castle, and plan to use it to get in."
Reply

"That's fascinating." Simon took note of that- a being that could exist purely on fire would have to have an internal structure different from most carbon-based life; as disorienting as this place was, and as lost as he felt most of the time, it was also incredibly interesting. "No one is going to believe me if I ever get back to Florida. I don't think anyone ever came back from the Bermuda Triangle- that's how I got here, long story."
