With a groan, James glanced at the feline and straightened his position. The cat terror was back...though, for now they were somewhat tolerable.

"Arlight, I'll pet ya on one condition." James said. "No biting and no scratching."

The man gave the cat a stare, showing he was serious. Course he doubted for the orange feline to understand him, so with a reluctant sigh he reached forward with his finger and scratched behind one of the feline's ear.

Better not do anything funny... James thought to himself.

Bean purred loudly, stepping closer. Now he was finally getting what he needed! He stepped forward again, one paw touching his James's belly. He was testing his weight to see if he could sit. The cat decided it wasn't a good idea and was satisfied with sitting by his side. For once this cat wasn't being an asshole.

When Charlie finished tending to his son, he went to wherever James was. "Okay so what's the deal?Anything sciency?" He noticed Bean being nice around James. "Hey, see! He can be a good boy."

"I never said he couldn't be nice." James said as he glanced to Charlie, still scratching the cat's ear.

The paw on his stomach made him feel a bit sick though relief came as the feline removed it. The cat could probably tell there were babies in there, animals were good at that. Though James returned their gaze to Bean.

"Nothing sciency, just resting." James said. "Get Ben to bed alright?"

"Well he is nice," Charlie said, sitting down at one of the chairs.
"Oh yeah he went down pretty well. He was tired after today." He said.
"So how are your kiddos? Any movement yet?" Charlie asked curiously.

Bean ended up plopping down beside James, purring loudly. It seems like he wouldn't move for a while.

"I guess mine are fine." James said, taking note of the feline changing location and the scientist decided to use his whole hand to pet em. "No movement, just feeling big and heavy. Hopefully they'll be no more growth the remainder of the night."

There was no feeling in the round mass to him other than what he said, he did feel full as well though...that was honestly expected. The following day, he was glad to see that he hadn't grown at all and for a few days that changed. He hadn't grown for a week and that was getting him concerned. Standing in his bedroom, he adjusted his shirt and sighed. Maybe all their growing was done and they were just waiting to come out? Bah...there was no way they could be ready already!

Charlie felt bad for what he did to James. He didn't know it was going to end up like this.

He started getting worried when it was a week later and there were still no changes. He wondered if Jame's would have to stay like that forever. Now that would be terrible! As usual, Charlie cooked breakfast. He made waffles this morning and he was quite proud of them, so he went to fetch James.
"Hey, breakfast is ready." His gaze dropped down to the man's belly. "Any changes or anything?" He asked hopefully.

"no...nothing..." James replied as he adjusted his shirt. "Same size with nothing moving in there."

It was worrying to the man as well but there was nothing they could do. Just wait and hope something would happen. At least he was getting used to moving with this. So getting downstairs from his room wasn't that much of a scary thing.

"Well have you tried poking or trying to move it?" Charlie asked. "That's how I got Ben to move, I'd just disturb him enough until he would move," he said with a chuckle. He helped James downstairs. Even though it was easier for him to move, Charlie still wanted to help.

"I've poked and prodded and still nothing has change." James replied as they descended the stairs. "I think they're intent on not making themselves known again like they did originally."

"Hm.. Well, maybe just give them some more time and we'll see," Charlie said while sitting down. He wondered what they could do. He hadn't had any ideas.

James made a mhm sound, that was they could do really. Eating breakfest was just a simple part of the routine. Though there was always extra made since...he was currently pregnant and more food was needed to keep him going. After stuffing his face, he gave a sigh and leaned back. Well he honestly felt a little better.Though only enough to feel content with the meal he had.

"I think those were the best waffles I've made," Charlie said proudly. He had tried out a new recipe. He was not a good cook, but he was really trying to get better at it, and he was. It just took practice. He fed Ben a small piece that didn't have any syrup on it. He didn't want Ben to get sticky.

"They were really good, and now I'm full enough to where...I want a nap." James said with a low chuckle. "I'll be on the couch instead of upstairs, I don't feel like walking up the stairs again already."

Getting out of the chair, he went into the living room and laid down there. Sleeping on his back even for a short amount of time didn't feel good anymore. So he was often laying on his side. Despite his stomach taking up a good porition of the couch, there was room for a feline to appear and share the space with.

Charlie nodded. "Alright go ahead. I think I'll go upstairs to let you sleep. Just shout if you need me for anything," he said. He picked up Ben. "Geez, kid, I kept the syrup away from you and you still got sticky. Oh well. You'll just have to get another bath.." he said on his way upstairs.

Bean was hiding away under the table, away from Ben. The cat had grown jealous of the baby. He'd never hurt Ben or do anything mean, but he was just jealous of him. When the kid and Charlie were both gone, he padded over to the couch. He meowed loudly to announce his arrival, and he jumped up onto the couch and curled up next to James. He purred.

James opened his eyes an adjusted his position slightly to see the cat. He did his best to reach the feline and with some difficulty, he managed to stroke a part of the feline's fur. IT was nice that this cat wasn't being a asshole anymore. That was honestly something he never expected considering how much of a pain they were before. For a few minutes, nothing was different. He adjusted his position again as sleep didn't want to quite come to him. So now his stomach was sticking up in the air and sighed. The position was a bit uncomfortable though he honestly felt something different that caused him to try and sit up. That pressured feeling from the first day was back, though...was it due to just all the food he ate?

Bean had become quite fond of James. He was good to cuddle with and he was quiet. He purred when he was being scratched. The cat stood up when James shifted his position. The cat stepped forward to sit on his chest. The cat was quite happy with this new development.

"You're just strange now and days." James said as he went to pet em.

The pressured feeling was still there but for now, it wasn't that bad. So he was going to ignore it for the current time as he kept petting the feline. It was nice that they were a much better cat now. Though would that change after the children were born? Probably...attention would have to be switched to all of them. Such thoughts were broken as he felt his stomach push forward and a 'oof' sound left the man. Well looks like they were finally growing again.

(When James has the kids, Bean will be really nice to them because they're part cat)

Bean was extra gentle around James because he knew he was expecting. The cat had noticed a change though, when his stomach started growing again. He let out a little sound, not exactly a meow. Just a small cat noise. He leaned his head out to sniff his stomach, but he didn't smell anything of interest.

Setting a hand on his stomach, the mass pushed forward and was now straining against the current shirt he was wearing. At this rate, he was going to have to give up wearing shirts completly since going shopping was too risky. The man now looked like he was expecting triplets instead of the overdue twins. IT was certainly a uncomfortable feeling and the man squirmed underneath the weight. Okay he had to sit up.

"Bean...move please." James requested.

Best to just hope the cat could understand and jump off rather than tossing em off.

The ginger cat was being disturbed while James tried to sit up, so he let out a little "Mrrr." He jumped off and hid under the table again to groom himself. He was annoyed at being moved.
