Clark was returning home from work by walking through the park as his house was just on the other side of the park, it is not really that long of a walk since he always walks at a fast pace to get through quickly, it only takes him 3 minuets to walk through the park at his pace but at a normal pace it would take him 5 minutes, but he needed to get through quick cuz he had a important form to fill out to get his mate a job.
