Darnel did his best to hide his discomfort and keep a brave/strong front. several of his wounds were itchy and hot while others were tight to the point of painful. but he didnt want to bother anyone, even if that meant he couldnt move for a while, despite his hunger or thirst.

Soto looked up seeing a pained expression on Darnell face. He was concerned about him being in pain. Hed got find the healer when willow had finished her meal.

willow seemed to take her time drinking, everyone walking by undisturbed by him feeding. Darnel shifted a bit and tried not to scratch at one of his wounds. "Cmon darn... suck it up... big strong stallion" he told himself.

Willow finally finished. So he whent loking for the healer. Unable to find her he whent out and picked the hears he needed himself. As he returned he frowned at Darnell. "You a stuborn stallion you know that." He said taking two flat rocks placing the herbs between them and grinding them up to a smooth paste. The whole time the healer was watching him out of curiosity.

"i didn't want to bother anyone just for my discomforts" he says "its just the way i am" he then adds and shrugs "besides i see it as my punishment for taking on a mountain lion in the first place"

"Quit being a tough guy!" Soto was agravated by his manly man adittute. He took a peice of moss coated in the paste and after having removed his bandages applyed the paste. The healer horse steped in a look of upset on her face.

giving a hiss of discomfort he shook his head "never said it was a tough guy act" he protests "I just didnt want them to waste their resources on me, im sure they have better uses for it"

(Wanna be the healer.) Soto was so absorbed in his task. He didn't even notice the healer. His attention on the stallion. The healer stamped her feet hard getting stood attention.

"what are you doing?" she demanded "What herb was that!?" Darnel looked between her and him hoping he wouldn't need to try to defend him.

"Well actualy herbs. I used lavender honey narrow and mint lavender for the pain and itching. mint for cooling and disinfectant. Honey for healing and stickynes and yarrow for swelling and infection." He said hoping shed not get mad at him.

she checked over all the herbs then gace a huff, although itbwasnt one from irritation, more impressed "well... ill need to ask you later how much you actully know... for jow, use a bit more yarrow and mint lavender. he has too much swelling, if he tries to do more than get up or walk, smack him back into line" she says "And next time, consult one of us first ok?"

"Im sorry I just couldn't ffind you and he was in pain so I tryed to fix it." He added a bit more narrow lavender and mint to his paste and spread it over the wounds gently. He was glad to have not upset her. He pulled out some fruit hed picked while out fetching herbs. Sone apples and two figs. He offered. The fruit to Darnell. "Eat you need your strenth.

"i was busy getting medical salves ready for him" she says and they can both see he is starting to relax now his wounds are being soothed. "breakfast is usualy taken together, we will be waiting for you both in the largest tent once you are done here" she collects up the soiled bandages, having left clean ones to be used.

He revolected up the fruit and waited for Darnell to get up.

it took a few minutes, darnel refusing ghe fruit saying he would eat more than enough at breakfast. he was slow to rise, being cautious of his injured body as he did mover. soon they were walking to the massive tent, both of them limping if for different reasons.

As they arrived a spread of fruits vegetable seeds and nuts were spread about. There was even some fish. It was rear any meat of any kind showed its self at meals. Most beards didnt kill other animals. He sat down gently his back hoof giving him a bit of trouble.

"Ahh our newest three have arrived!" the chief says with a smile "everyone this is Darnel, Soto and his foal Willow, please welcome them warmly when you get a chance" he says

Soto blushed at the reaction to the words his foal. Alot of them were shocked. Willow sat next to him hands called around his wrist she looked as though she might cry. He gently reached down and kissed her forehead stroking her cheek with his free hand. "Now whats the matter darling you were just out playing why are you upset."

everyone else had started eating, Darnel looked over to Willow curious what was wrong aswel. "Everything ok? she not hungry?" he asks "or there too many people around?"

"Moma your hurt!" She said rather loudly. Tears wselling up in her little eyes. She pointed to his back hoof. Soto sat shocked ffor a moment.
