the nurse tended to him, applying sevrral salves before binding his leg "Try to take is easy on it for a while" she says simply "It will take five days, expect some stiffness"
"See? all good! now lets check our kitten!" he says almost proudly before wlowly getting up and helping him to his hooves.

"Yea lets." As they walked over they noticed the kitten was wraped almost from head to toe. Soto gasped. "Oh thats bad."

"Not as bad as it could be" the healer clained "Dehydrated, malnourished, low on blood and covered in deep scratches. if you had delayed any longer we may not have been able to save her. however she still had not reached weaning are, she requires milk, sadly we have no goats or cows and there is only one who is lactating at this time" she turned to look at Soto "I hate to ask, but will you care for her till we have located a suitable substitute?"

"Poor dear is it a she or a he?" He asked curious.

"a she" the healer says with a chuckle "Unless they have somehow changed their biology. Here, she is out of it at the moment, the stuff we put her on konked her out bad, she wont be awake for a little while. when she waked up youll need to feed her if you can"

"Surely I have milk to spear for somthing so tiny." He took the kitten in his arms eyes soft. He walked cear fully. His back hoof.

Darnel smiled and stayed close watching him. "Im sure you do, Cmon lets go get you resting and her fed" he says

He followed him back to there tent and layed the tiny kit by his belly. The kit suckkled weakly then gave up curling into a ball. Soto frowned and then pucked up the tiny ball of fur. It was shaking. He placed it close to his chest and wondered how he could get the little child to eat.

he watched saddened then had a small idea and smiled "here hand her over and lay on your side" he says softly getting soto to expose his teats, he gently lowered the kitten to it. he collected a small item looking like a ribbed piece of wood and a stick then rubbed them together gently against the kitten stimulating purring. it only took a few momebts before she was drinking. "there we go... we just need to keep her warm and 'purr' to her"

"And here i though you were just a stone headed warrior." He said leaning against his flank. He was trying hard not to fall asleep. He had no idea why he was so tired but he was exhusted.

the stallion just chuckles and pats at Soto's flank "Warriors need some smarts too, we need to know when and where to attack or when to run" he says "I may not be the smartest around but i do need to learn to adapt quickly when needed"

"Uh hu suuure!" He said smugly. He snuggled up dozing off. His adventure having left him exhusted. He looked so small and fragile curled up beside the larger stalion. His long red locks framing his face.

the stallion just smiled and watched him sleep, the kitten laying against him, he reached down and gently pet them both letting them rest "sleep little ones, i will protect you"

When he woke willow was curled up kitten in her arms sleeping soundly. He smiled at her and gently stroked her hair. He was happy to see all his beloveds all in one place.

Darnel was pressed close to Sotos flank, softly snoring yet seemed alert to the world around him. his training as a warrior had caused him to be a light sleeper, ever vigilant of any danger. his muscular chest rose and fell as he breathed. he had one of his hands gently draped over soto, fingers touching Willow making him aware of everyone in his care. even the kitten was in contact with him pressed between both stallions and giving its own soft purring snores.

He looked up at Darnell as he woke. His smaller frame fur beside him perfeclty. His daughter was griping his flank. He couldn't help but admire her. She was so stinking cute. He saw her tiny face and he stroked it gently. He was elated that he had a conplete faimly. He didn't have to worry about being alone. He had Darnell and he had willow his delicate and cute child. He smiled as he played with her hair. When she grew up she was hoping to be a stallion killer.
