Luna smiled brightly and quickly left with her siblings heading to the cave where Rain worked quickly

Rain is relaxing in her den, not having any patients to take care of at the moment.

Luna raced up to Rain when she found her “Rain! I was pawing at the pups, just playing like Papa said I could and then I think I hurt them!” She said scared and sad

"Why do you think that you hurt them? What happened?" Rain asks, immediately on high alert as she stands up to follow the kids to her brother.

Luna started to race back with Rain “His tummy squeezed while I was playing with them and then he made a sound like he was hurting!”

"Oh, that wasn't because of you, sweetheart. That just means that your Daddy's body is preparing for bring your new siblings into the world" Rain explains.

Luna sighed in relief as they got to the cave “Oh, I didn’t hurt them or him?” She said quietly sighing in relief

"No, it was just unfortunate timing. That would have happened even without you touching your Daddy's belly" Rain gives her niece a reassuring smile.

Luna nodded going over to her papa. “He’s still sleeping though, should we leave him or do we need to get him to your cave?”

"Just let him sleep for now, I'll stay with you all until River comes back" Rain says, laying down next to Cinder.

Luna nodded and curled up next to her aunt getting comfortable. River came back a little later with food dropping it going to the back of the cave. “Luna, where’s papa?” He asked confused “He’s with Aunty Rain in her cave”, River nodded assuming he had gone for a check and headed over to the cave.

Cinder and the rest of the pups are settled into a nest near the back of Rain's cave, cuddled up together.

River smiled seeing his family and climbed in the nest curling around his mate gently trying not to disturb him

Cinder smiles and nuzzles him "Hi, baby" He says softly.

River smiled “Hey, sorry, I was trying not to wake you” he said softly “Into the nesting stage are we?” He asked gently

Cinder nods "Rain thought it would be a good idea for me to stay here for awhile, I started having some cramping earlier and she wants to keep an eye on me"

River laughed softly “So you’re almost skipping the nesting phase by the sounds of it, you’re already cramping up” he said shaking his head a little “Thought we had a few more days to be honest”

"I thought so too, I guess the pups had other ideas" Cinder chuckles.

River shook his head lightly “Impatient like me, sorry for that” he said teasingly
