River laughed lightly “I hope they’re not too like me” he grinned and nuzzled his mate’s stomach lightly

"Why?" Cinder chuckles when he feels one of the pups kick at the spot River had touched.

River laughed and groomed Cinder lightly “Because I want them to be like you! If they’re just like me then that will be boring” he chuckled softly

"I hope they're like us both" Cinder smiles a bit then flinches.

River nuzzled him gently “It’s okay, you’re okay” he said softly knowing why he was flinching

"I-I know...that one was the worst so far" Cinder nuzzles back.

River smiled gently “You’ll be okay, you’re strong” he smiles gently and groomed him gently “You should rest though, you’ll need the energy”

"That's what Rain keeps saying, I've been trying to rest" Cinder chuckles.

River chuckled “When I groom you you normally get sleepy so we’ll try that” he smiled gently and began to groom him gently

The pups giggle and cuddle closer to Cinder to help keep him comfortable.

River hummed quietly as he groomed his mates, calming the pups down at the same time

Cinder eventually falls asleep.

River smiled and laid his head gently on top of Cinders gently before falling asleep himself

Luna gently licks Cinder's belly before going to sleep too.

River slept restfully curled around his mate protectively

Cinder slept for about an hour before the pain wakes him up again.
