"We'll see about that, everyone has a breaking point" He smirks and walks away, blocking the cave's entrance as he leaves.

Maze whimpered quietly struggling against the vines uselessly as he laboured for several hours. Dawn went to the cave behind the water looking for Whisper as it had been almost 7 hours since his pack had last seen him and they were starting to get curious. “Hey, why haven’t you returned to camp yet? Where’s Maze?”

"He's not back yet...I want to go looking for him but I couldn't leave the pups here alone" Whisper says anxiously "Can you stay with them?"

Dawn frowned but nodded “Of course but…perhaps you should bring them to the pack first, this has become too much and they will accept them, they love you as an alpha and that way you can bring a few of the stronger wolves with you, just in case” he said softly “Especially since he’s so heavily pregnant and you are pregnant as well” he said

"Do you think they'd still accept me after finding out that my mate is from across the river?" Whisper asks, pacing anxiously "Would they really accept my pups?"

Dawn sighed “I don’t know fully but I think they would or at least the majority would. They know you’re a good person and will assume the best of Maze due to that”

"I don't feel comfortable with it yet, but I don't have a choice anymore. Can you help me bring them to your den?"

Dawn smiled warmly and nodded “Of course” he said softly and helped to lead them out of the cave being careful of the water before heading back to the cave

Whisper helps Dawn carry the pups to his den, making sure that they were settled in and warm before heading out to find Maze with a few of the pack's best fighters and hunters.

Maze struggled against the vines able to get his front paws free by biting through but with the pups he couldn’t bend to get the vines on his legs. He cried out in pain as his stomach contracted violently, he felt his was very close and wanted his nest and his mate. He howled out a few times not sure if anyone would even hear him because of the cave being blocked.

Whisper's ears twitch at the sound of his mate's call "That's him! Follow me!" He tells his pack members before howling in response to Maze.

Maze ears pricked up hopefully, he was sure he heard Whisper. He struggled against his vines howling out for him again before whining in pain as his stomach contracted.

Whisper looks toward the cave that Maze was trapped in "In there! Help me unblock the entrance!"

Maze whimpered as the light seeped in and blinked quickly “Whisper?” He said feeling himself start to cry in relief trying to get to him.

"Maze! What happened?! Are you okay?!" Whisper hurries to Maze's side and unties him "Let's get you out of here..."

Maze sobbed grasping onto his mate “The pups are coming and my brother knows about us, about me being with someone from the other side, not that it’s specifically you but- owwww” he groaned grabbing his stomach panting heavily

"...did he leave you in there? That bastard, I'll tear him apart if I ever see his worthless ass again!" Whisper growls as his packmates help him carry Maze back toward the boarder between the two packs "It's okay, you're safe now...let's go home"

Maze nuzzled him gently groaning quietly trying not to alert his brother that he had been saved “W-Whisper” he said shakily “A pup has dropped, I need to push” he said whimpering a little

"N-Now?! You can't yet, baby. Just try to wait until we're safe..." Whisper says anxiously, trying to run faster without harming himself or Maze.

Maze groaned a little locking his legs trying to hold himself back from pushing before his stomach tightened again and he grunted trying to hold the pup where it was shaking
