"Alright." James replied as he finished writing down the new things. "If it goes at this rate, we might be here for nine months till those kids arrive. So far I've had no luck finding a ultrasound machine."

"Eh it's fine. Hey! Maybe we can build one! We're always making stuff, so how hard can it be to make one of those?" He suggested. With skill they already had, and being able to find information online, there was a chance they were able to do it.

"Some of the materials aren't going to be that easy to find ya know?" James replied, not really sure they could make one that would work properly.

Still, it was either that or try to find someone to keep a secret and let them borrow it.

Charlie nodded. "Yeah you're right.. But we could at least try.." After thinking it over, he thought this would prove to be difficult.

"We can try but if we aren't able to get everything, then we're not going to do it. We don't have a lot of money to throw around." James reminded. "Besides, you shouldn't do too much heavy lifting."

Charlie nodded. "Yeah.. Yeah. You're right," he said. He was a person who would jump right into things and not think about what would happen until it had already happened.

"Alright. I'll take a look online, if this doesn't work though we're not going to a hospital unless we have to. Too dangerous." James replied as he turned the computer on and started to type in the search bar.

Charlie gave another nod. "Well let's think of anyone we know.." He scanned his mind for any doctor friends who wouldn't squeal on them. He did know a few people in the medical field, but he wasn't quick to trust.

James shook his head, he didn't know anyone in the medical field. He was a man who kept to himself most of the time anyway. Besides, why would he bother those people if he was capable of stitching up Charlie's face rather than go through the trouble of going to the hospital? No point in it to him.

"Ah well. We can just search the internet, and you already know some stuff." He said, standing up to stretch. He sat back down to write something down in a notebook.

"For now I can, besides we've done worse to each other than this. We can handle it." James said with a chuckle.

A smile came to Charlie's lips, his different colored eyes lighting up. "Yeah I know we can." As much as they messed with each other, they got along quite well and made a great team.

James gave a smile though he went back to work on searching the internet. He honestly didn't know what else to do. Part of him was curious on how many Charlie would have and if this was the rate it was going to keep going at. If so, then that was fine. It would be a long time though to see what the results were.

(should we skip a few?)

Charlie busied himself with smaller experiments. At the moment, he was working on something that would help people to not be allergic to cats. It wasn't going well so far because he still sneezed and got snifly whenever he pet a cat.

(Sure, how far do you want to skip?)

James searched for a little while more before giving it up. He was honestly getting tire of scrolling through pages of useless and unreleated crap. Oh well. The man instead went to revieing his notes. A thing he did very often.

(Hmm. A few months maybe? Just to kick things up here)

Another sneeze came from Charlie. "This just isn't working." he said with an eyeroll.

(Okay)

"Keep trying, you might just be missing one chemical compound or something else." James encouraged.

Charlie nodded. "I'll keep trying."

Over the next few months his belly had grown quite a bit, so the experiment had been going smoothly so far.
His cat experiment, not so much. He had adopted a cat, (He named him 'Bean') and was still allergic to the orange cat. It didn't stop him from trying, though. Bean purred peacefully, laying across the table in front of Charlie.

"Alright, time to measure." James said as he came downstairs, measuring tape in hand.

Charlie stood up from his chair. "Mmk."
And he lifted up his shirt. He'd done this enough times. They did it quite often.
