O The Unfair Life of the Carrier (Open to Everyone)

"Yes, it's my first time, i'm having twins boys" Andy said with a tired smile "But my husband already has three more kids" he said that in a sad way, not because he didn't liked his step kids, but because they seemed to hate him, while he was trying everything to be the best stepmother/stepfather he could. "I guess i'm lucly, though. I've seem so many guys that have mean alphas... At least my husband is always there for me, even though this put him in a hard situation, since he has to chose sides evey time they had some kind of conflict... Sorry, i guess i'm talking too much, i am not here to complain about my life. I have to subscribe to Yoga classes, do you know where i can do it, please?"

Blake got a soft, almost dreamy look as he cooed at Kay's words about Keaton. Then he shook his head and chuckled. "Kids like Keaton and Molly almost make me want them myself. They're sweet and you guys make it look so easy", he glanced over at Lex and then back to twins and sighed.

"I have a good alpha and I should be grateful, but dammit, I didn't choose this life and I ain't about to get stuck in with a kid...No offense Kay", he apologized to the younger twin then looked back at Kai. "You understand what I mean, don't you?"

Lex bit his lip as he listened. He knew all to well how cruel alpha's could be. Sometimes he wandered if Jared wasn't running for the title of the king or cruel. He shuddered slightly and shook his head, he really didn't want to think of Jared right then.

"Maybe they just need a little more time to adjust", he offered in hopes of reassuring the other man. "Right now, they think you're trying to replace their mother, even though you aren't. I... I'm sure that after a while and after the babies come they'll be so excited about having new siblings that they'll see you aren't some sort of villian trying to steal their father and take away their mothers memory".

He hoped he wasn't wrong. He had tried to be positive in thinking Jared would be a better alpha after Molly was born, and while he was a great father, he still didn't seem to find anything in Lex other then fault.

He was sure his dispair was starting to show on his face and tried to shake it off. He was saved the need when a cookie met the back of his head, causing him to help in surprise.

"Sorry bro, it slipped", that was Blake of course and Lex glanced over his shoulder to see the ravenette give a wink.

Beaming with pride and joy at the topic of conversation, Kay could only laugh lightly with his toothy smile. "That's because Molly and Keaton are perfect in every way." There was no shame in how much Kay adored, not only his own child, but practically any child he came into contact with. "I mean really; Molly has Lex and Keaton has me. Two kids with two amazing mothers, what can you expect?" Kay winked at that with a chuckle.

Moving around his twin, Kay gave Blake's shoulder a soft pat. "For what it's worth; I think you'd be a great parent. You've always been good with Molly and Kea."

Kai simply shook his head. "You don't get it. Just because you're blinded by the adoration of a child doesn't mean the rest of us don't see them as anything but baggage. It's a tie that you'll share with your alpha forever. Too much commitment for me." He shrugged his shoulders while Kay looked at him with a puzzled expression.

Kai said nothing more and looked away, his red stare meeting the slumped shoulders of Lex; which in turn got Blake's attention to the other male. It wasn't long before the twins watched Blake pull a cookie from no where to snap the blond out of his own thoughts.

Kay frowned slightly at that. "Poor Lex," he muttered before turning his face to Blake. "Are things still not better for him?"

"I think it's more like they're good with me. My own kid would probably hate me", Blake grinned. "But I won't deny that you and Lexy are perfect mothers with perfect kids and anyone who says other wise will meet personally with my boot".

Listening to Kai, he grimaced just a little. "Harsh, dude, but it's true, Kay. But I don't want to be tied to Grant forever, and he deserves better then someone who doesn't and won't even love him".

He winked at Lex who shook his head at his actions but he did smile again, this one more genuine as he turned back to his conversation.

"Nope, Jared is still in the lead running for King turd for sh*t mountain. I swear, he treats Lex like dirt and Lex can't leave because of Molly", he frowned, relaxing his hands from the fist he'd made from just the thought of his best friend's evil ass alpha.

"Ya know, I'd give him what for, but the guy is huge", he flushed a bit at his own admission of failure. "How do you even right against some the freaken state grants you too as a practical sub."

He grit his teeth and eyes blazed. "It's what we are, right? Subservant to our assigned alpha's. We can't leave without repercussions, and some of us never get to leave", he looked at Lex and bit his lip.

"At least some of us get decent alpha's. I'm glad of that at least, but I still think it's unfair as a whole".

Kay waved Blake off with a light click of his tongue. "You sound like Kai but with an actual filter." He chuckled at his own humor. "It'd be impossible for your kid to hate you, Lex wouldn't allow that and you know it."

Shrugging his shoulders he went on, "Yeah, so maybe Vince can be a bit of a hot-head, and I don't agree with everything he does, but I get through knowing I'm not alone. I've got Kai, who isn't going anywhere, and all of you guys who are also like brothers to me." He motioned around the room to the group within.

Kai rolled his eyes and forfeit to his younger twin. "There is no winning with you when you're all hormonal."

The eldest twin grimaced at Blake's words, the idea of something like that actually happening. It was exactly why Kai refused to cooperate with the system. A shiver ran down his spine, bringing up goosebumps across his arms.

"Unbelievable," he muttered, shaking his head in disbelief. For a moment his dark gaze turned to Blake with the first authentic smile of the day. "Let me know if you come up with something, I'm always game when it comes to putting alphas on their knees." He chuckled, his laugh identical to his brothers. "A change in position is good every once in a while."

Kai smacked his shoulder with a warning glare. "Don't even think about getting into trouble again."

"I'm going to see what has Blake so hot under the collar", Lex told Andrew as he glanced at his friend. "It was nice talking to you." He smiled and with a nod, turned to go where Blake was standing with the two silver haired twins

"Maybe, but since Grant isn't getting near me in that way, I don't have to worry about it yet", Blake grinned, then at Kai's words, smirked evilly.

"Ha, I knew I liked you", he said as he threw an arm around Kai's shoulders and pulled him down into a noogie. It was childish, but fun and the ravenette was having fun. "Dude, you're hairs soft and it smells like... Cherries. Seriously, and here I thought you had left behind all your carrier tendencies." He teased.

Lex rolled his eyes at the display and greeted Kay. He knew the younger twin from Lamaze classes back when they had their first children. They usually planned play dates for Keaton and Molly at the park, well when Lex could get away from home of course.

"Kay, it feel like it's been forever since I last saw you", he said, voice soft but filled with excitement. "How are Keaton and Vince? How are you, you certainly have that glow to you", he smiled as he looked the silverette over and laughed.

"We seem to have a habit of getting pregnant near the same time".

Finally allowing himself to get comfortable, Kai returned the smirk before chuckling slightly as he was pulled into the noogie. He half-heartedly fought it off with his hands, but there was no real effort as he relaxed. Kai could appreciate humor and fun once his walls were down, and it certainly helped that there were no alphas in the room.

Finally wiggling free, Kai attempted to calm the wild mess that was now his hair. "Usually the rough attitude keeps people at a far enough distance to never find that out." Still he chuckled with a wink. "Let's just keep this to ourselves, yeah? I like playing alpha, they have more fun."

Immediately turning his attention to Lex, someone Kay was very familiar with around these parts, the silverette couldn't stop himself from pulling the blond into a light hug. "Lex!" He greeted warmly, eyes shining. "I'm great, and I've finally managed to bring my other half with me this time!" Motioning towards his older twin, Kay introduced the two.

"Lex, this is Kai, my older brother. Kai, this is Lex. In sure I've told you about him." Turning his attention back towards Lex, Kai shrugged slightly. "I let Vince take Keaton today, it's weird but I miss him already. They're fine though, Keaton's trying to talk a lot lately. Where's Molly today?"

Letting out a light laugh, Kai ran a hand through his hair. "It's kind of funny isn't it? It's nice not being the only one going through it though, I guess I'll be seeing you in classes again coming up?"

Lex returned the hug and gave Kai a smile. "Hello Kai, it's nice to finally meet you", he said then back to Kay answered.

"Molly is with her grand-mother. Falene is traveling for the next six months, so she wanted to spend the day with Molly so that she could make up for the time she won't get to spoil her", he laughed lightly at the thought.

"Molly is also talking more, though V's, R's, and L's still give her trouble. She calls Blake Bake-bake for example", he loved to talk about his daughter, and he fondly rubbed at his belly. He was excited to meet this one as well.

"We do a play date soon. I know Molly has missed Keaton".

Blake snorted. "They sure do. They get to have all the fun while we have the babies", he stuck hiis tongue out at an invisible Grant, he actually enjoyed denying and teasing his alpha...guilty pleasure as it were.

But then he opened his eyes. "I just remembered that I left my spider running around the house. What it Grant steps on her!? She's only the size of my fist, she'll be squashed under his big feet!" He helped digging for his phone. "Now I gotta send the jerk a text!"

Lex lifted a delicate pale brow and shook his head. "I think we will", he told Kay with a smile. "I also think we should avoid Blake's place at all cost".

Kai nodded towards the blond with a light smile similar to his brother's. "Nice to finally meet you as well, Kay speaks highly of you."

Excited with the new turn in conversion, Kay could hardly stop himself from rocking back and forth on his heels. "Aww, that's really sweet, Lex. I'm so glad to hear Falene being so involved in Molly's life, it's really good for her." A light sigh escaped his lips. "I really hope this one's a girl, sometimes I get jealous thinking you'll be able to dress Molly up super adorable. I used to do it to Kai but he doesn't let me anymore." He snickered.

"That's funny because Keaton's been having a hard time with 'K's. Maybe if they hang out more they can learn the rest of the alphabet from each other." Another chuckle escaped him at the idea, his smile warming at the sight of Lex showing affection to his unborn child.

"Most definitely!" He agreed enthusiastically. "So, are you hoping for a boy or a girl this time?" He asked with cat-like curiosity.

Kai nodded his agreement, with a light chuckle at Blake sticking out his tongue. "You know Vince wasn't even there when Kea was born? I was," Kai grumbled, shivering at the memory. "Hell no, you couldn't pay me to go through that, not for anyone."

Kai watched with a raised eyebrow as Blake seemed to remember something, and then was suddenly interested in what he heard next. "No way, you have a spider? Tarantula?" He watched as Blake search for his phone with a chuckle. "I hope his contact name is 'Jerk'. Then we can really be friends, you've got my kind of humor."

"Agreed," Kai muttered with a blank face, shivering at the idea of a spider that big being lose in the house. "Also don't go to Kai's, even if he invites you. He's got two pythons, they scare me."

"I know what you mean... I tend to go overboard when buying stuff for Molly, but then it's one thing that Jared doesn't mind me doing. He even said that he wants all new stuff for the baby!" Lex loved shopping for baby stuff and things for Molly.

He was excited because next week he and Blake were getting paint and furniture for the nursery.Another reason he loved shopping, was that Jared never seemed interested in going, so Lex always got Blake to go with him.

"I kinda hope I have a boy this time, but I'd love another girl just the same", he answered as he thought about colors for the nursery and names for the baby.

"I've actually thought of a couple names. I like Tanner and Tyler for a boy and Taylor or Katie for a girl. I might end up changing my mind though", he laughed lightly. Molly had been a last minute name change for his daughter who was originally going to be call Adelaide.

"Have you chosen a name... Oh, before I forget. Would you and Kai like to come shopping with Blake and I next week?"

He looked over at Blake and Kai who were grinning at each other. "Speaking of, do you suppose those two were soul mates in a past life?" He giggled, because really the two were as alike as they were different.

"I actually have him listed under G for Goober", Blake answered with a grin as he typed out his text. "My spiders name is Samantha, or Sam. She's still young, so she isn't full grown", he finished his text and happy with it, hit send and pushed the phone back into his pocket.

"So you have two pythons!? Awesome, you need to invite me over sometime to meet them. And as for what you said earlier, about witnessing birth... Well I'll take your word on it and just say it something I hope to never even have to see for myself", he shuddered slightly at the thought.

Kay cooed affectionately, "I would too! Molly's such a sweet little girl and she looks adorable in everything you put her in." Unintentionally a scoff left him at the name of Lex's alpha. "It's the least they could do; spoiling their kids. We do all the hard work, why can't they at least make sure they look cute? Vince is pretty good about that too, I think he mentioned something about getting new outfits for Keaton this afternoon. They're just getting big so fast." Kay sighed at that. "It almost makes me sad, but then I think about how we'll have a new baby soon and that cheers me up."

Nodding his agreement, Kay brushed back his silver bangs after the movement of his head. "Yeah, I really wouldn't mind another boy either, but having one of each would be really nice." Maybe he was just being too idealistic and trying too hard to fit into the stereotypical family setting. Everything about their forced relationship was strange, Kay could only try his best to make everything else that followed after as normal as possible.

Another coo escaped his mouth at Lex. "Aww I really like those names, Lex!" He chuckled slightly. "Too bad they weren't twins, you could use the names Taylor and Tyler. It's almost as perfect as Kay and Kai," he added with wink and a laugh.

"Well, I managed to convince Vince to agree on a 'K' name for our first child so now I'm letting him have most of the say. I think we've agreed on Eden if it's a girl and if it's a boy I can't decide between Nash or Shiloh." Kay brightened up at Lex's question. "Of course I'd love too." Looking over at his twin and Blake, he chuckled again. "I don't think I'll have to force Kai either."

Again Kay nodded in agreement. "It's strange, I've never seen him get along with anyone like this. Usually I have to force him into conversation, but he's over there hitting it off with Blake. It's nice to see him like this, maybe he'll start coming out more."

Kai chuckled, shaking his head lightly. "Goober in my phone is Kay because he's the biggest goober I know." Kai reached into his pocket for his own phone, pulling it out and heading into his photo gallery. "I like that name for some reason, it makes her sound less threatening than she is. I think I went the opposite direction; I've got Voodoo and Marie Laveau. Male and female, respectively. How old is your spider? My pythons are two, I've got about three more years until they're old enough to breed."

Kai laughed to himself. "I may not want a baby, but I can't wait to have some baby snakes. You'll definitely have to come over and see 'em some time." Another chuckle escaped him at Blake's last comment. "You're not kidding. Fingers crossed for you, man. I have no idea what possessed Kay to even think about doing it again."

Andy subscribed himself to the yoga classes. He watched from the window as his husband and step kids started walking around the downtown, since they knew the subscription process would take some time. Andy also watched the group of men near him, some of them looking pregnant as well. He didn't want to overhear, but he ended up hearing somethings about spiders and pythons, which was quite interesting. As he finished subscribing himself, he waddled to the group and said "Thanks for the help, Lex, I did it." He then looked at the others guys at the group and waved "Hi"

"Oh, those names are adorable", Lex cooed, " And so much more original then the common names and yet still common enough not to be to odd. My full name for example if Lexus Corvair, so I was named after two cars", he laughed as he admitted to what he he had grown up trying to keep secret.

"Speaking of cute outfits and names. Twins would be nice. Just imagine, though I know it's cliché, but how cute would it be to get corresponding matching outfits. Like one in green and blue, pink and purple, or pink and blue", he giggled and shook his head.

"Twins would be fun, but a lot of work, I'm sure", he winked at Kay, then turned to look at Kai and Blake.

"They are strangely alike, aren't they? Sometimes I wonder if some of us, such as you and I who actually enjoy parenthood are meant to be...'mothers', but those like Kai and Blake", he chewed his bottom lip.

"I honestly don't believe that Blake could ever fit into this role. He's wonderful with children, Molly adores him, hi I think, that if he'd been forced to bond with an alpha who wasn't Grant... Well I don't think he'd be who he is, who he's suppose to be... I appreciate Grant for that, just don't tell Blake", he whispered with another wink and grin.

He saw Andy and grinned as he took in his words. "It looks as if it were rather tiring", he looked at the silverette. "Kay this is Andrew, Andy this May", he introduced.

"I'm not sure really, she was very small when I got her, and that was six months ago", Blake said as he bounced on his toes. "I also intend to come see those pythons, especially with names like that... I'd imagine that they gotta have a lot of attitude. My Sam sure seems to enjoy making people scream, but then she does just tend to pop up out of nowhere", he snickered as he thought of when she'd crawled into bed with Grant.

Kay smiled brightly. "Thanks, I like unique names. Your full name is nice," he reassured with a shrug. "I like it, it would certainly fall under a name I'd probably consider." A chuckle escaped him as he shook his head. "Though Vince probably wouldn't agree with it, he won't let me pick any name that has a label to it. I really thought about Mercedes for a girl. He shot it down."

Shaking his head again, Kai waved his hands in dismissal. "No way, not cliché at all. Our mother used to dress us in identical clothing except for one thing, and it wasn't always the same thing. Maybe one day I'd have a blue bracelet on and Kai wore a red one. Or I'd have black socks and Kai would wear white. People used to mix us up a lot because of it, but they always commented on how cute we looked." Kay sighed at the thought.

"Sometimes I think about what it'd be like to have twins, and then I remember how much of a handful Kai and I got when we were a little older and I change my mind." A light chuckle left his lips. "Molly's so sweet and good, maybe twins from you wouldn't be nearly as bad as Kai and I."

Kay's head cocked in thought, nodding slightly. "I can see what you mean; but I'm not sure about Kai though. I feel like if he could just get over his fear of the actual pregnancy and birth part, he'd be a great parent." He sighed. "Actually, he'd have to start with the whole 'anger towards all alphas' so maybe there's a lot he's got to work on."

Another nod. "No I know. I wouldn't say anything because I agree with you, he could have been stuck with an alpha that forced him into bearing his child. I keep hoping that doesn't happen to Kai either, but luckily he's been good at keeping alphas away himself." Kay returned the wink with a chuckle, shaking his head lightly.

Turning towards the heavily pregnant male that made his way over towards them, Kay offered a welcoming smile. "Hey there, it's nice to meet you, Andrew. How far along are you?" He questioned with a cock of his head.

Kai cooed affectionately at the thought of Blake's young spider. "That's so sweet. I'm only inviting you if you promise to let me come see little Sam at some point." Kai winked with a light chuckle. "Actually, I went the opposite way with their names. They have dangerous sounding names but they're really shy and love being held." Nodding to himself, Kai grinned at Blake. "I think we'll get along just fine. I didn't know people like you existed out here, I would have left the confines of my apartment earlier." Another light laugh escaped him at that.

"You haven't yet witnessed one of Molly's tatrums", Lex insisted with a bright grin. "But really it's so cute that I just laugh and let her do what she wants... I think I might actually be in trouble", he sighed fondly though, and then glanced once again at the two who were laughing as they bragged about their pets.

"They treat their pets like children, adore them. I think they'd be wonderful parents as well I the right circumstances. But it's good that Kai isn't taking anything lightly. I really didn't have a choice and Blake was bonded to Grant before he met him as well. I think a carrier should have some say".

"Thats cause I'm one of a kind", Blake bragged with a wink. "They broke the mold when they made me... On purpose I think, because I'm obviously to much to handle", he laughed at his own joke and then stopped when he saw a familiar blonde at the door.

His smile turned to a scowl as the alpha locked his head in, glancing around until his green eyes settled on Blake.

He smiled kindly as he waved. "Hey, babe, I have to head out of town for work", he said and Blake lifted a brow.

"Oh yeah? You could've just sent a text then... And don't call me babe", he narrowed his eyes as Grants smile faltered. "Oh, yeah right, sorry. I forget. Anyway, I figured it was best to tell you personally", he looked around at the other carriers, offering a somewhat shy smile.

He spotted Lex and waved. "Hey Lex, how have you been? I haven't seen you in a while. Oh, how's Molly-doll?".

Lex smiled in return. "I'm fine, and Molly is wonderful, thank you for asking".

Grant was about to respond, but Blake spoke up. "Cut the chit-chat, Romeo, and get going before you miss your plane or whatever. I'm looking forward to being alone a few days".

Grant rolled his eyes as he sighed and held out some keys. "I thought you'd need these as well, seeing as I locked up the house and you left these behind. You're spider may very well scare away intruders, but I like to be cautious", he tossed the keys to the ravenette who caught them easily.

"Take care Lex, and look after Blake for me", he spoke to the other blonde who giggled as Blake stalked towards the door.

Andrew smiled at Kay sweetly "Hi, it's nice to meet you too, Kay. I'm 8 months pregnant with twins. What about you, how far along are you? " He asked.

When Grant arrived, Andrew waved at him too and said a shy "hello". The man seemed to be a nice person, that would really get along with his alpha

"That's true," Kay agreed with a chuckle. "I don't know how you do it, Lex. One look into those doe-eyes she has and I'd given in to her every whim." He paused before chuckling again. "Actually, it might not be such a good idea if I had a girl." Kay shook his head before brushing away his silver bangs with a sigh as he glanced over towards his twin and Blake.

A frown pulled down at Kay's lips, but he fought it away. "That's true, but I also don't want him to believe that he actually has a say in this messed up system. He'll be even more of a wreck if he builds himself up only to have everything crumble around him when he does get paired off with an alpha. Is it better to face him with the truth or blind him with hopes that probably won't happen." Kay sighed.

He got lucky, Vince wasn't so bad. There were times when his alpha could be a little controlling when it came to what he did during the day, but he had never been hit and Vince was amazing with Keaton. All things considered, Kay was usually happy and it frightened him to think there were others out there that weren't. He didn't want that for Kai, he wanted his brother to be happy, and for Kay that meant accepting the system they were forced into. There was no way to fight it, not without battle scars.

Turning his gaze towards Andrew, he returned the toothy smile. "The pleasure is mine I'm sure," he insisted, running a hand through his hair. "You look good though for being that far along with twins, healthy. That's awesome. Have you picked any names yet? You gotta be careful with twins, they'll mix themselves up on you when they get older," he added with a wink. Thinking of all the times he'd passed himself off as Kai and vice versa.

"I'm about five months along," Kay informed the other with a grin, one hand on the curve of his stomach. "It's my second child though, I have a year old son named Keaton. Is this your first?"

Kai paused for a minute, looking at Blake with a cock of his head. "Yo, I like that. Nice one," he complimented the raven on his joke before chuckling at it himself. He shook his head lightly. "It's true though, too many people start thinking like us and the whole world will go to hell."

When Blake's attention turned elsewhere, Kai followed his gaze to the blond alpha at the door. Immediately he went stiff and took a step back, eyes lowering as he momentarily ignored the alpha and Blake's existence, finding something very interesting in the pattern of the floor all of a sudden.

He forced himself to take long deep breaths, teeth chewing on his lower lip around his piercing as he focused on anything else until the alpha left.

"Yes, they can be a bit to convincing", Lex agreed. He listened as Kay and Andrew spoke, waved to Grant as he said his goodbyes and left.

He looked at Blake, who pocketed the keys and huffed as he turned away, ignoring Grants goodbye.

Personally, Lex liked the blonde alpha. He was genuinely sweet, and he had put Jared in his place a few times without evening seeming like he was angry. He could keep a level head, was patient, and one really had oto be when dealing with Blake.

Still, sometime he couldn't help but wonder why Blake didn't see what luck he had. True it was horrible being paired off to a stranger and then expected to play house with them, but at least he'd gotten a good one. Someone who didn't try to blame everything wrong or otherwise on his partner.

Jared had really hurt him for the first time when he was four months along with Molly. Before that it had just been mostly yelling, an occasional slap, but at that time, when Lex's horomones where out of whack, even more so because it was his first pregnancy... Well he had screamed back at his alpha, had slapped him hard across the face before he even realized it.

It had resulted in Jared grabbing his wrist and twisting until the bone snapped and the blonde screamed in pain. There had been some sort of realization in Jared's as he stared down at Lex, as he sobbed and cradled his wrist to his chest, and Lex had realized too.

Jared could control him, would control him and he could make him hurt and regret if he defied his alpha, they both knew it and Lex had been to scared to do anything other then listen, especially, when at the hospital, it didn't seem like anyone there evn cared how it happened.

He'd never felt more alone or scared, and then there had been Grant, who had just moved in across the street, awaiting his own carrier, who had smiled sweetly, kindly at Lex as he offered to help carry in his groceries.

He'd been the only positive light in the gloom until Blake came, three months after Molly was born, who complained and cursed and made Lex actually live again.

He loved Blake, and he kinda wished he could see Grant as something more than just a sentence in misery.

Blake had noticed Kai's sudden quietness, that he seemed to find the floor interesting and frowned. "Dude? What's wrong? Surely that goob didn't make you feel uncomfortable, though I mean he totally does that to me sometimes, but he's basically harmless and he's gone now", he frowned abit, then seeming to come up with an idea, grinned.

"Speaking of which, why don't you come over to my place. We can order junk to eat and watch pay per view, and you can meet Sam. Whatcha say?"

(Sorry for the long rant, and I'd it offended anyone or made them uncomfortable. I thought it'd add to both Lex and Grants characters.)

Kay smiled towards Grant as he left, not knowing the alpha enough to offer a wave but at the same time not wanting to look impolite. "I would fall for them every time," Kay agreed, before he hurriedly waved his hands in the air. "Don't take that to mean that I'm a bad babysitter though! I still want to be number two babysitter, after Blake of course," He added with a wink in the direction of the raven and a light laugh.

For a moment, pausing in his conversation with Andrew, Kay noticed that Lex seemed lost in thought and from the look on his face it wasn't a very good thought. Knowing better than to touch someone lost so deeply in thought, he waved his hand slowly in Lex's line of sight. "Hey, Lex?" He called out to the blond. "You still with us?" He asked, lips turned down in a frown as he fussed over the blond for a moment. "You okay?"

Bringing his head up at a speed that made him see stars for a moment, Kai tried to refocus his thought. "Hmm?" He hummed, trying to remember what Blake had said while he'd been in his own space. "Ah, no. You're good, it's not him." He shuddered, rolling his head to the side while he rubbed at the back of his neck where his hairline was. "It's just alphas in general, man. I don't wanna even look at 'em."

He bit his lip, rubbing at his eyes for a moment to shake off any remaining tension as he nodded and tried to bring his grin back to his face. "No way, you're cool with that? I'm totally in on that," he nodded excitedly, for a moment looking a lot like Kay. "I wanted to meet her, I just didn't think it'd be this soon."
