The human was now laying on his side behind the counter of the bare rest stop, happy that it was night at least and the place wasn't busy. He moaned with the most recent pain while his face buried into his arm deeply. Not trying to be too loud in fear of waking the pups and then having James go away to get them back to sleep. Tobias wanted his partner right where he was now, so he could lean into his chest with his hands grasping onto his shirt. Shifting slightly while his back and stomach contracted tightly,"Nhh..."He whimpered softly and curled his toes,"It's coming."He grunted out, almost squirming in discomfort as he arched his back and bearing down finally.

James was planning to stay exactly where he was, his hand running over Tobias' contracting stomach. They were sticking to the original plan of keeping Tobias' pants on until the pup began to crown, just in case any of the others began to wake up.

Tobias turned onto his back slowly to lean into James with a moan, his hands moving from the other to place his palms on top of the others. His head moving to press his face into the others shoulder slightly, his thighs flexing and his hips shifting restlessly,"Mm..."He groaned out when his middle slowly solidified with the next contractuon and he tilted his head back while barring down as hard as he could manage without being vocal. His head rolling forwards now as he blushed darkly, while pushing to force the pup slowly out of his body.

After a few minutes of pushing Tobias' hand moves between his legs to see if he was making any progress.

There was slow progress with each push, he was sweating through his shirt and his sweat pants were soaked through with birthing fluids. The human shied away from the others hands and grumbled something incoherent as he gripped his arms with a low groan. It's head was crowning, slowly but surely and he couldn't manage to say anything, only bearing down again while his legs folded. "Nhh..."He tried lifting his ass to give the pup more space to move as he whimpered again softly, pushing harder. Until soon the head was born into James's hand and Tobias fell back against his lovers chest, panting and shaking from the echos of the last contraction. He had torn, even just a little, and that could be told from the bit of blood on the wolfs hand once he pulled his hand back.

James lightly kisses Tobias' forehead, pushing some of his hair back from his face with his free hand. James then moves to push Tobias' pants down to his knees and runs his hand over the babies head only to have his hand come back with blood on it.

Tobias took a bit of comfort from the kiss as he tucked his head beneath James's chin with a quiet moan of discomfort as the pup turned within him slowly. A well sized pup it was, reminding him of birthing Sam as he shifted again once his pants were removed and a small grunt escaped him. His hands were shut tight and he hadn't noticed the blood, only the sting of the tear and he grit his teeth, arching his back with a long groan as he pushed once more.

The pup moved slowly until it got up to the shoulders, them pushing out against Tobias' opening with each contraction and each time Tobias would push. "Easy, take it slow."

Tobias was getting easily frustrated, though he kept a level head instead of snapping at the man who had been so patient in helping him. He nodded quickly, hissing as the pup shifted while it turned and he whimpered, the storm outside thundered and he was startled slightly. "Fuck."He cursed beneath his breath, and shifted his legs as he felt the infant stretch him awkwardly,"It's stuck."He shook his head, huffing heavily and laying his head back again with a low moan.

James takes Tobias' hand before putting it on the counter, easing him up for a moment to slip out from behind him and moving between Tobias' legs. He slips a hand underneath the pups head before he pushes against it slightly, letting the shoulders dislodge before he begins to help work them out.

Tobias held the counter tightly to keep from laying back without any support and letting his head fall back slightly while his back arched. He grimaced deeply as James shifted the child half way out of him, his feet shifting apart more and nails digging into the wood of the counter. One last moan escaping him as the baby was birthed between his legs and he let out the breath he had been holding. While the more human looking child whimpered it's first breath, it's tiny hands waving in an almost angry gesture and Tobias smiled softly at the sight of the pink baby.

James lays a towel across Tobias' chest before laying the baby down on its father's chest, it's cries filling the room. James moves then to move back behind Tobias, letting him lean against him once more.

"Shush..."Tobias murmured to the child once James laid their squirming mass onto his chest, his arms coming up to cradle them gently while he used the towel to wipe their wet face and body. "You're okay."He hummed softly as he spoke, nibbling playfully at the infants fingers as they reached for his face with waving hands. Tobias barely realized he was leaning back against James again, before he turned his head slightly to look up at him with a small smile.

James leans down to press a soft kiss to Tobias' lips before nuzzling his cheek softly. He moves his hand down to run over the baby's back as it continues to whimper against Tobias' chest.

Tobias returned the kiss and hummed as he was nuzzled, returning the gesture while holding the child then looking down again,"Before I was taken, when was the last time we had made love?"He asked in all honesty, his own free hand moving to stroke the child's cheek, taking in the features of her small face and going quiet for a moment.

"I honestly don't remember." James runs his hand along the infants back as they lay there, Tobias taking the time to rest for a few minutes.

"I'd like to think that she has your eyes."He murmured as he sat against the others back,"Don't you?"He asked after a moment, he liked these moments, semi-solitude with his partner after his latest birth. Especially when he knew in his gut that a child of his was shared blood with James, he soon fell into a light sleep though. Pants still around his ankles and a storm raging outside the walls of the rest stop.

James holds Tobias as he sleeps, keeping watch over both him and the infant along with the other pups that were all sleeping soundly.

The placenta was born a few minutes later, sliding out of Tobias with little effort from the sleeping human while he held the little girl who had latched onto his chest during the night. He stirred and mumbled softly but didn't wake, even to the rumbling thunder above the shelter, though a few of the pups did. A gang of them sniffing and waddling on their short legs over to their father to nuzzle up against him, then a few more and finally the oldest pups until the whole litter was underfoot. Them waking the human soon when morning arrived as they crowded him and the younger pups crowded him to get a look or even a sniff at the newest pup.

"Easy, don't overwhelm her, or your papa." James keeps an eye on the younger pups as they try their best to get a good look at their newest sibling. Eventually each pup took their turn, little James and Jamie helping James gather up everything so they could get on the road again.
