Sailor and a Selkie ((w/ bhdire8 and Lovebite))

[Lovebite]

It was early spring in Irwin's small town, the place was set below a cliff on the rocky shore against the sea and only acted mostly as a port for pirates to stock up again. The place was also what the sailor called home after a long nights work dragging nets and lobster cages out of the waters a few miles down the uninhabitable shore. He struggled one night to carry a large male seal into his cottage as it whimpered in pain in his arms,"I'm sorry big guy. So sorry."He shuffled heavily through the front door and laid the large animal down onto his rug.

The young sailor hurriedly went into his bathroom to grab a first aid kit, then coming back to the living room and kneeling down beside the seal. "Shush."He murmured and took a piece of antibiotic soaked fabric to clean the animals wound,"I'm going to take care of you. I'll make this better."He told the seal who's flipper had gotten caught in one of his traps when it tried to get the lobster out, the human took gauze and wrapped it around the seals flipper gently.

This human truly amazed him. As a selkie Max had heard too much stories about how cruel seals were treated once they got captured by humans. Their meat were eaten, fat burnt for light and fur used as clothes. He had thought he would die when he was caught by the trap, but here he was, carried by the human to his own resting place, and was treated of his wounds. His flippers hurt like hell when it was treated, but he endured it knowing it was for his own good. He stared at the human, showing him a face that a lot of women could not resist. Out of curiosity, the selkie had seduced several women before, each and every one of them failed to resist his moist, round eyes lookimg at them in an innocent way. He wasnt sure if it would work on males, but he thought he could try.

When the human finished up his work in wrapping the seals wound with clean bandages to keep him from gaining an infection. He flipped his thick curls out of his face and looked right back into the animals eyes, he smiled softly and reached out to pet it's side,"Don't be scared of me, please."He said gently, smoothing it's fur and then standing to his feet,"Stay here."He told it then went into the kitchen to grab a few raw fish he kept as his dinner,"Hungry?"He came forwards and offered the crustacean to the seal.

Max had never been fed by a human, he looked at the fish and smelt it a bit, then tentatively licked on it. He could be selling his cute face here. Sensing this was fresh catch and probably the best that the man had, he accepted the food. He chewed on the fish while peeking at the human, a bit puzzled by his motive to save him. He finished his fish and looked at the man, tilting his head to a side and lookrd at him.

Irwin pet the seal's head and then his flank before standing up to grab a bundle of firewood and toss it into the fireplace. Taking a long match and lighter fluid to start up a nice fire while he hummed a old song he knew as a child and never forgot. Him being young, he still lived around his family, or at least his father and cousins, though he did live on the outskirts he wasn't that far away from home. Plus he made his cottage by hand, it was sturdy and warm when he was home even if it was small it was only to house himself, that's all he needed for now. Irvin took a old fur blanket and tossed it over the seal carefully, rubbing it's head again then going off to eat a sandwich and soup before heading off to bed.

To be covered in a fur blanket when in seal form was weird, and Max sneered the thing and moved away from it once the man was out of sight. That fur was crappy compared to his own, and he wouldnt let it pollute his own. The warmth of his fur and the fire were more than enough. He flopped down to the floor and looked at the dancing fire, soon lured himself to sleep too.
He waa startled awake next early morning when the human got up for the day of catch. He opened wide his eyes and pushed himself up by his foreflippers, staring curiously at the man.

"Wanna come with me?"Irwin asked the seal, reaching his hand out to touch it's head again, then bending down to lift it up careful of it's bandages. "We'll go to the shore and fish today."He grunted out at the heaviness of the animal, struggling back out of his home towards his pickup truck, trying not to drop it and placing them in the back. "I'll catch breakfast."He thought it was the least he could do after harming the animal, nursing it back to health was just something he would have to deal with.

if Max had been in his human form he might smile at the human. He saw how the man struggle under his weight but he was indeed quite sweet in attemtping to bring him out instead of leaving him there in the house. He looked around curiously as the trcuck started. He had never see as much inland landscape like this, even though he had walked up the shore, he could never quite cover this much land on his own feet alone.

The human turned up the radio as he rode, rolling down the windows and tapping his fingers against the steering wheel while whistling. Irwin drove through the small town, waving sometimes and turning down towards the docks right beside the shore. He parked and jumped out, grabbing his fishing gear then opening up the trunk,"Wanna walk yourself."He asked the seal, not expecting it to answer as he simply nodded his head towards the ocean.

Max looked at thr man and nodded a bit, moving his foreslippers he slid down the trunk. He would have looked at the man smugly if he had been able to show such a complex face. He slid past the human and went through to the shore, looking at the ocean waiting for the man to catch up.

The human thought he saw the animal nod at his question, his brow raised and he shook his head a bit as he simply closed up the trunk after it. Then followed behind it's path in the sand, he took his cooler and placed it down in the sand near the shore. He stood and looked over the glistening water, then glanced behind them to see if they were alone as he began undressing down to his underwear. "Want to race seal?"He smiled some and looked to the animal, as he stepped into the cool salt water.

Max glanced at the man and looked at his body. He was well toned and lean, quite pleasant to look. Though he just looked away at his challenege. Even with his flipper now wounded, he could easily win him. He just waited for the man to leap into water before going in himself, easily surpassing him and started swiming in circles around him, playing and mocking him a bit. The man was a good swimmer, he could agree to that. He found it quite fun to play with him.

Irwin was short and stocky, though he was well toned and tan with the days of heavy work on the sea, freckles marred almost every inch of his body. He was a cute young man and the women swooned whenever he came by with his cousins to help the workers wives in the supermarket to stock shelves. It was nice to let loose, swimming in circles with the seal and playing with them until he was tired, slowly climbing out of the water. He made a place on the slab of rock that stuck out of the crashing waves, laying down on it so his chest was kissed by the sun as he caught his breath. Glistening with the salt water, he covered his eyes with his arms, crossing his legs, tilting his head back so his neck tanned more.

Max rested beside the human. His thick curls now rested pliantly on his head now that it's all wet. He leant closer to the human and enjoyed the sun together. Today's weather was quite right, and lying on the rock to enjoy the sun was his favourite past time. He had nudged closer to the human, flapping his flippers on his flat stomach to tickle him.

Irwin pulled his hair back so it didn't stick to his neck and looked down at the seal as it cuddled up beside him, he reached down to pet their head. "Are you sure you aren't a human?"He laughed lightly as he rubbed the seals fur, he wasn't that ticklish though he did smile at the way the seal patted him.

Max was a little surprised at the man's guess though he knew he probably didnt mean it. He playfully opened his mouth to let the human smell his fishy breath and lick on his belly. His tongue was rough but he could feel the stomach muscle constrict underneath showing the man was laughing. He then gently touched his big round head on his stomach, as if asking him to pat his head.

Irwin grimaced at the smell of the seals breath and laughed some more as he was licked, shaking his head,"Nevermind then."He chuckled and rubbed the animal's head when he wanted it, laying back again with his hand stroking the seals head. They stayed like that for a while, before he carefully got back up and dived off of the rock into the water. He swam downwards for a few moments then back upwards to break through the waves once more when he was close to shore.

Max followed the man into the water, though he dived much deeper than him. He saw a fish of the same species as the one he was offered last night and decided to return the favor. He caught it and held it in his mouth, quickly got it on shore and returned to swam beside the man. He nudged the human to show his presence before disappearing again to catch 2 more fish for him.

The human sat with his feet in the water, he was taking his rod and baiting the hook in concentration, though glancing down at the seal when it nudged him. He looked pleasantly surprised when the fish was laid down beside him, opening up the cooler he had brought and tossing it in. When he turned around, the seal had brought a couple more before he had even finished setting up his rod, he laughed softly. Shaking his head and simply holding onto his rod for now as he watched the seal fish for him, a smile on his face at how intelligent the animal was. "I believe you were born into the wrong body friend."He pet his head.

Max would have smirked, again. He just growled a bit as if inviting him to play with him again. He nudged gently on the hand that was holding the rod, as if asking him to abandon it. It was surprisingly really what he wanted. He quite like spending time with this human and was angry that he wsnst paying enough attention to him.
