“Soon...” said the nurse, wiping Carsen’s face, “Daddy, let’s put on the apron”, she said to James and told him to get up.

When the head comes out, we’ll call you to check, and when the baby comes out, cut the umbilical cord, okay?” asked doctor

James turned towards the doctor,” alright thank you”. He then leant down towards Carson and gave him a kiss on the forehead,” it won’t be long”.

Carsen looked at him gratefully and grabbed his hand “Thank you...” He thanked him again and then grabbed James' hand more firmly and felt the spasm “Ahhh...” and the doctor sat down on a chair between his legs. “One more moment, and we’ll start... We breathe”, he said reassuringly to Carsen.
