Cameron chewed a piece of ham and cheese, putting the sandwich down. He wiped the corner of his mouth.
"I don't know yet... I didn't want to know the gender, so the choice is wide."

Reece nodded, “that’s what my sister did but she ended up choosing a gender neutral name for my niece”, he explained, smiling at the thought of his family. “Have you thought about doing that?”

"No..." he confessed quietly, and then looked at the clock on the wall. It had been a while. "Are you sure you don't want to go to lunch? Nothing will happen to me if I stay alone," he said quietly, playing with the frill of his shirt.

He saw Cameron looking at the time so he did too, looking down at his watch he saw that they only had 10 minutes of break left before they had to go back to work. Reece hummed, “not really, I’m busy trying to make a friend,” he said, smiling brightly.

Cameron didn't know what to say to him. So he sat quietly. Then he was interrupted by a phone call. The caller was Ashton. He silently apologized to Reece and quickly left, picking up the phone

Reece watched Cameron’s face drain of colour when his phone rung, “there’s no way he is fine, someone has to be hurting him”, he muttered to himself, packing up his lunch.

Cameron started crying in the stairwell after an argument with his husband. He did it quietly. He didn't want anyone to see or hear. He lived as if he couldn't afford help.

As Reece was taking a sip of his drink he begun to realise he needed the toilet. He left the office and wondered into the hallways when he heard some crying, he just hoped it wasn’t Cameron. He followed the sounds to the stairwell where he found that it was Cameron.

He sat on the steps next to him and wrapped his arm around him, “hey, what’s going on?”, he murmured.

Cameron, at the sight of it, somehow couldn't calm his crying. It made him dumbfounded to see it. He began to chaotically wipe the tears from his face.
"Nothing... I'm sorry," he got up quickly and ran to the bathroom. He needed to be alone.

Reece watched as Cameron ran away, he knew he had to leave him alone and that is what he did. He got up and walked back over to his desk, feeling a little upset from the situation but he knew not to blame Cameron.

Cameron returned to work after ten minutes. He cooled down and wiped his face with cold water. He didn't want anyone else to notice. He didn't look in the direction of Reece's office after that.

There was a window separating Reece’s office from the main one and through that he saw Cameron walk back in. He decided to leave him alone for the rest of today, unless he came over to him.

It was already eight o'clock in the evening. Most of the employees had already left the office, but Cameron was still sitting at his desk. He didn't want to go home.

Reece had gathered his things and turned off the light to his office. He left the room and shut the door, jumping when he saw Cameron. “Hey! What are you still doing here?”, he asked, curious, “it’s getting late and the building is closing now.”

Cameron also jumped up. He was caught. And it was by Reece. Again...
"Oh, indeed..." he said and turned off his computer, packing his things in his bag at the same time. He will have to spend the night somewhere else.

Reece stood still, unsure as what to do, “it’s okay, you can take your time as the doors have like 10 minutes till they need to be locked”, he explained, hoping to make Cameron feel more relaxed. He noticed Camerons hands were shaking, “hey, are you alright?”, he asked, concerned.

Cameron sighed, feeling how he was under a lot of pressure. Reece continued to stand and stare at him. Why are his hands trembling so much?

"Oh... Such a tic. I'm sorry," he said touching his hand to make the trembling subside "Please go.... I know the way to the exit" he added after a moment.

Reece sighed and said, “okay”. He walked away and and stood outside the doors, waiting for him to leave so he could lock them. Whilst waiting, he searched through his bags trying to find the key and just found them, right as Cameron came out.

Cameron bid him a polite farewell as he left and walked toward the elevators. He pressed a button and when the doors opened, he stepped inside. He sighed quietly as he pressed the right floor. Maybe he'll go to some cheap motel?

Reece finally locked the doors but had to wait for the next elevator, it seemed like it took like 10 whole minutes. He got inside and made his way down to the bottom floor for which meant he could finally go home. He walked outside and saw Cameron standing in the cold, shivering, “would you like a ride home?”, he asked.
