Chris ate the casserole in silence. He rubbed his tummy a few times reflexively. He was looking forward to parenthood.

The tv felt like a faint background noise and Cooper focused on his dinner, “this is really good”, he complimented.

Chris thanked him shyly, then looked reflexively toward the couch.
"Can you help me with something later Cooper?" he asked him quietly

“Of course, what is it?”, he asked, looking from the tv to Chris. He scooped up the last forkful and ate it.

Chris smiled slightly.
"I have some furniture for the baby.... But they have to be screwed together. I can't do the lifting. Can you help me?"

Cooper flexed his muscles and laughed, “I can put these to use”, he joked, then standing up and taking his plate out into the kitchen.

Chris followed him.
"That's the deal, then. I'll call you when the time is right."

“Okay that’s fine”, Cooper agreed, he leant against the countertop, “do you want me to do the washing up?”

"No, I'll do it later..." he whispered and looked at the fruit salad "Let's eat your salad. Let's go to the living room" caught his hand lightly

Cooper looked down at their joined hands and smiled. “I hope it tastes good”, he began, “I wasn’t sure what to make”.

Chris smiled slightly.
"It will be tasty... I'm sure," he giggled.

Cooper smiled in response and led the way back to the front room, sitting back down. He took a bite from it, “thats not too bad”.

Chris looked at his neighbor with a smile. The rest of the evening passed very pleasantly.
The weeks went by. Chris's tummy was getting bigger. Unfortunately, at the last examination it came out that Chris has to change his lifestyle. He needs to lie down and rest a lot.
That's why he asked Cooper yesterday if he could help him.

Cooper knocked on Chris’ door, he worried about him alot recently especially as he was on bed rest now. He had to wait for the door to open, Chris had slowed down quite a bit due to his size.

Chris opened dressed in pajamas. He smiled gently at his neighbor.
"Thank you for coming..." he replied and began to massage his tummy

Cooper leant down and gave Chris a hug, “are you okay?”, he asked noticing he was rubbing his stomach.

Chris reciprocated the hug slightly.
"Yes... It's just that the pregnancy is a bit compromised. I have to lie down," he explained and invited him inside

“Okay, why don’t you go and lie back down?”, he asked, “I can just move the things to where I think they should go”. He led Chris back to his bedroom, “don’t forget, you can always call me if you want anything”.

Chris thanked him.
"Will you massage my back?" he asked with a small smile

“Sure, is it hurting?”, he asked, lifting up the back of Chris’ shirt and beginning to massage it, “you do feel really tense”.
