Chris lay in his underwear in bed. Then, out of boredom, he started folding the clothes he had bought for the baby. He also rubbed his tummy with moisturizing cream.

By the time Cooper had come home from the gym, he was starving, so he made a healthy dinner. He made enough for two people and brought it over to eat with Chris, knowing he was meant to be on bed rest. Cooper knocked on Chris’s door, “hello?”

Chris quickly put on a bathrobe, then rolled out of bed. He rushed to the door.
"Hi... Are you free yet?"

“Yeah, I made us dinner”, Cooper said and held up the bowls. He wondered into the apartment and grabbed some forks, “go and lay down”, he insisted.

Chris nodded and went back to bed. There he wrapped himself in a blanket and waited for his partner. He was really happy.

Cooper came into his room and sat down in the bed, passing him a bowl. “There you go”, he said, turning his attention back to his own bowl.

Chris thanked him quietly and also began to eat. He ate with relish.
"This is really tasty... You're a great cook," he praised him.

“Thank you,” Cooper said, “this is actually my favourite meal”. He continued eating until the bowl was empty and then waited until Chris was too.

Chris handed him the empty bowl with a smile. Suddenly, he grabbed his partner's hand.
"The baby kicked."

Cooper instantly put his hand on the bump, trying to find the place the baby was kicking. Eventually he found it and gasped when his hand was kicked.

Chris sent him a slight smile.
"You felt it, didn't you?" He asked and caught his fingers lightly.

“I did”, Cooper said, smiling at him. Eventually he pulled his hand away and stood up to stretch, “I think I’d better head back now but I’m glad I got to see you”, he said.

Chris looked at him sadly. But he said nothing.
"See you..." He replied quietly and waved him off.

Cooper could see that it made Chris sad but he truly missed the feeling of his own bed, he leant down and hugged him tight, rocking him side to side. “I gotta use my apartment sometimes,“ he joked.

"I know..." He replied quietly with a small smile and put his arms around his neck lightly. Immediately after, he kissed his lips lightly. "Thank you for today."

“Stop saying thank you all the time”, Cooper said, “I like to help you”. He kissed chris back and then stood back up, taking the bowls and leaving.

Chris was sad. Since he had gotten to know his neighbor more intimately he hated the loneliness more and more. In addition, he was pregnant

Cooper however, was typically used to the loneliness but was finding that it seemed almost unusual now. He did briefly think think about buying a house for them especially as a baby was in the way but it seemed abit too early.

Chris couldn't get to sleep at night. He sat on the couch and stared dully at the wall. He was really depressed. He felt so alone. But he didn't want to impose on Cooper.

Cooper laid in bed staring at the ceiling, he was feeling tired but he just couldn’t sleep. He looked at his phone on the night stand and decided to message Chris asking if he was awake, he knew that if Chris was asleep then he wouldn’t answer.
