Reed struggled to understand fully what was happening. Not being killed on the spot wasn't especially strange. Like a cat with a mouse, the vampires sometimes enjoyed toying with their prey before ultimately killing them. If anything, he and Tyson would be taken back to the Brotherhood's stronghold and killed there. Bound as he was, the young man still made a nuisance of himself by kicking and grunting wildly.
When Reed heard Butch speak, it made him freeze up in his seat. That accent. Rumors spread like wildfire among lessers. When you were undead, you thrived on gossip and urban legends to keep entertained. One such rumor was about a vampire with an accent just like this. They called him Dhestroyer. He could sense any lesser anywhere while all the other Brothers had to wait and pick up a scent. Not only that, but thost who got away claimed the Dhestroyer could absorb a lesser straight into his body. Reed looked over at Tyson, eyes showing his fear now.
They drove right past the mountain and under the Pit. Reed's breathing escalated. Bronze eyes darted around, trying to see out past the tint of the windows, but it was too dark. Shit... Fuck... Shit!
