“I think you’re right.” Nate replied. “We need to be extremely careful, especially during the first trimester.”
Since marrying Maurice and moving into the alpha’s mansion, the young omega had a lot of free time on his hands. Maurice worked a lot and the servants took care of all of Nate’s needs, so there was little for Nate to do, other than read.
Much of the material Nate read was related to pregnancy and fatherhood. Preparing himself for imminent pregnancy was always at the top of Nate’s mind. The omega also educated himself on the history of the capital region and spent a lot of time reading the Wikipedia pages of the most influential families within the capital. The young, curious omega knew all of his reading would come in handy - he just didn’t know that it would come in handy quite so soon.
Through Nate’s research, he had learned that although omegas were very fertile, they were also prone to miscarriages, especially during the first trimester. So, Nate was quite relieved when the alpha suggested no public appearances in the first few months.
“I’ve read that the first trimester is the most critical and that stressful situations need to be avoided.” Nate said, looking up at his husband as the house butler knocked on the partially opened door before entering the room.
“Sir, pardon the interruption. But, it’s a reporter from The Times. They’re asking for a statement confirming...the ummm...Mr. Nathan’s pregnancy. What should I tell them?”
Nate looked back at his husband in confusion. “How could they already know!?” Nate thought.
