"Deep breaths," she reminds, rubbing his thigh in encouragement.

Gio takes deep breaths, aided by the oxygen mask. When the next contraction comes on, he pushes with all of his might, and feels the ring of fire as the belly makes an entrance.

"Good, Gio, good job."

(story-wise, I have it where they have daughters. Rp-wise, I don't mind).

Gio keeps at it.

"What are we having?" She asks smiling, wanting them to see for themselves.

(Boy then.)

(ok).

Gio is relieved as the rest of the belly comes out, followed by the shoulders etc. Now for the head, and despite being exhausted, Gio gives an almighty push.

Makoto is born.

Anna brings the baby up to his bare chest. She begins rubbing the baby to get it to cry.

Gio and Dr Takeda are both too emotional to speak.

"Come on baby," Anna says quietly, rubbing the newborn vigorously. She sets the oxygen on low, and waves it in front of the baby's face.

Makoto starts crying.

Anna sighs in relief, taking her hands away but keeping the oxygen a few inches from the baby's face.

Dr Takeda and Gio both shed tears of happiness.

Anna takes a quick listen to the baby's lungs, trying to interfere with their bonding as little as possible.

Makoto responds by crying like a rock star. Asami does aswell, as she wants to see her little brother.

The other nurse brings Asami to Dr. Takeda. Anna clamps Makoto's cord. "Doctor, would you like to do the honors?"

"I would love to." Dr Takeda smiles.

Dr Takeda cuts Makoto's cord, and then Gio puts him on for his first feed, which helps deliver the afterbirth.

Anna delivers the afterbirth, and begins draining the tub.

A nurse takes Makoto and Asami and Dr Takeda helps Gio get out of the tub.

Anna also helps get Gio out of the tub, handing them warm towels. "Feeling okay Gio?"

"Like I've given birth to two beautiful children." Gio smiles.
