"Okay, think we can get to this room right here so I can check you?" She points to the door 3 feet away.

"ok i can do that" i slowly start to get up

Anna helps him into the room and onto the bed. "Can you lay on your side and let me check you?"

"yeah sure anna" i reply

She slips on a glove. "You'll feel some pressure, okay?" She warns before examining him. "How long have you been having contractions?"

"a lil bit. is everything ok?"

[pushinghard]

"Yep, 2 cm," she says, covering him back up with his gown. "We're gonna have a baby today," she smiles, patting his arm.

"what do i need to do? is there anything we can do?"

"Need to get your contractions going better," she says, checking the baby's heartbeat. "Some walking or sitting on the ball can help."

"the ball sounds good"

Anna helps him onto it. "Try rotating your hips," she suggests, kneeling in front of him.

"ok" i start slowly rolling my hips. "is there a tub or somewhere where i can relax besides the birthing ball?"

"Yep, whenever you need it. How does this feel? How's you pain?

"a little better. can i get some water please?"

"Sure," she says, getting him a cool bottle.
