"A'right, I'll head down." Manon got to his feet and left the room.

Looking down at the castaway, the elven man decided that he looked cold. So he grabbed a blanket from a nearby cabinet, rough and scratchy, and draped it over him. Arnwen sat next to the cot with the stranger in it. "Ain't much, but ah hope it helps ya."

The castaway stirred and his eyes fluttered open. "Gods...What happened...?"

Arnwen jumped in surprise. "Gah! Yer awake? Ya feelin' alright? Can ya remember anythin'?"

The young man slowly blinked as he looked around the room. "Where...am I?"

"Yer on the Tidal Pearl. 'O are you?"

"I'm Valen." His eyes widened. "Fuck! You're a pirate!"

"Yeah, but 'm also the one what fished you out of the wreckage, I did. We ain't gon' hurtcha. But ya can't tell the cap'n yer navy. 'E'd 'ave ya marchin' off th' plank in a secon', 'e would."

Valen scoffed. "I'd much rather walk the plank then stick around here."

Arnwen looked hurt by the statement. "I saw you was in yer sailor uniform, but I still helped ya. Ah told Doc Manon ta help ya, 'n 'e did. Di'nt put up too much fuss ov'r it neither. If ya let yerself walk th' plank, then what was th' point? That ain't gra... grati... gra-titty... that ain't a prop'r fanks. "

Valen huffed and held his head. "Were there...any others?"

Arnwen regretfully shook his head. "'M sorry. You was the only one out there. I bet you had friends on yer ship. 'M so sorry fer ya."

Valen held his head in his hands as he curled up. "They....They're all gone...?"

"I fink so. You was th' only one I found. 'M so sorry. Can't imagine what tha's like." Arnwen handed Valen a rag to cry into.

Valen turned over and vomited onto the floor, puking up mostly bile and the fish stock Manon had fed him earlier.

Arnwen jumped back. "Oh, eeerrr.... i'll git that." He picked up a mop and buckle from the corner and began mopping up the vomit, seeming unfazed. "Soo... Where ya from, Valen?"

"A port town," he groaned.

"Makes sense yer a sailor, then. Oh, much name's Arnwen. You can call me Arn or Wen, whicheva." Arnwen extended his hand for the other man to shake.

Valen looked at Arnwen's hand. "You're quite well mannered for a pirate."
