It took hours for the contractions to get so bad that he couldn't think during them, he was glad that the pups were sleeping. He wasn't sure if he could focus on watching over them and struggling through labor, having sixteen kids previously helped none. Only getting him memorized with the steps of progress, he decided this one was on the rails and decided to sleep instead of waiting around in agony. The human turned onto his side, a hand resting over his middle while he laid his head on the other and closed his eyes.

Tobias manages to sleep for a few hours, waking up sometime later when they stop at an isolated rest stop to give everyone a chance to go to the bathroom and to stretch their legs. They were surrounded by forest except for the small clearing the rest stop was in.

He watched the pups as he sat on a bench in front of the rest stop, feeding two of the three newborn pups while the third and it's older siblings laid on his lap as well. The older man stayed careful of the young ones who laid in his warmth and simply sat back as he felt another pain start up. Tobias's eyes closed slightly while his hips shifted, humming to distract himself from the discomfort of the slowly building pressure inside of him. He glanced back over his shoulder slightly at the sound of children and he closed his eyes slightly,"James?"

After the pups had gone to the bathroom James let them run around and play for a bit, him coming over to the bench Tobias was currently sitting on when he was called. He sat down before taking the pups currently in Tobias' lap into his own for a minute or two.

Tobias gave him a slight smile and leant against his shoulder carefully, holding the two pups against his chest still as they suckled. Though his eyes drifted closed again as he shifted in his seat,"I think we'll have to stay here for the night."He mentioned, his hand moving to hold onto the others thigh,"I won't make it another couple miles."He shook his head, then moved to rub at the backs of the pups in his arms slowly.

James nods as he presses a light kiss to Tobias' forehead. "Looks like there might be a storm coming anyway, rather not be driving when it hits." Just as the words left his lips a rumble of thunder was heard in the distance.

Tobias looked towards the darkening sky and nodded slightly,"And from how chilly it is, I have a feeling it won't just be rain."He murmured as his head rested against James's shoulder for a long while, he forced himself to breathe and detach the fully fed pups from his small breasts""Here. Hand me the others."He said and reached for two more of the pups to hold them to his chest, they were still sleeping though when he placed him into his shirt at his nipples they latched on just like their siblings. "Get the pups inside. I'll follow in a minute."

James sits with him for another minute or two before he gets up, calling the pups all inside. They begin to get pallets set up for them all to sleep on as they wait for Tobias.

"Mm..."Tobias was heard humming as he shuffled over to the back of the truck carefully with his arms wrapped around the feeding pups. "Little James?"He called and soon enough the toddler hopped on over to him and he smiled at him, using a free hand to rub his head. Then gently place one of his youngest siblings in his arms,"Take her to daddy."He told him, then looked to Jasmine who had also come over,"You too."He told her, kissing her head after handing over the pup, then began trying to manuver himself into the bed of the truck as well with more than a bit of trouble.

The twins take the pups inside, James laying them down with their siblings to sleep. It took him nearly 10 minutes to get all the pups settled in and occupied, afterward he makes his way out to the truck to check on Tobias.

The pregnant human was leant against the side of the truck, his hand rubbing over his lower belly as he spread his legs slightly. With his hips swaying and head pressed against the cool metal of the vehicle, a low groan escaping him as he dealt with the most current contraction. There was a wet spot on his pants where anyone could tell that his water had broken as he reached for James when he came out to him,"I don't want to wake them."He breathed, pulling himself into the others broad chest.

James runs his hand over Tobias' back. "Just breathe through them, let your body do the work."

"You always say that."He murmured into his chest as he leant into him with his eyes closed, hands grasping onto the others shirt tightly. Tobias continued swaying his hips in attempt to get the pressure between his hips to shift lower to know avail,"This kid's not in a hurry."He muttered, shaking bis head,"Not any more."He grit his teeth and moaned as he leant forwards with his hands moving lower to cradle his belly. "They were, earlier. I guess they changed their mind."He smiled softly and groaned.

"I know." James lightly kisses his hair before he moves his hands along Tobias' back and around to cover Tobias' own as they rest on his stomach. They were both swaying now, almost as if in sync with each other. James kept one ear open to the pups while also keeping aware of the storm. It was getting closer, the wind beginning to shake the truck slightly.

Tobias did as James's said though, taking in deep breaths when he could and letting them out as he leant forwards into the other. He was off in his own world now as they embraced each other, or his lover embraced him while he only grasped onto him to keep from falling. He turned in the other man's arms so his back laid against his chest instead and he moaned again, a bit louder this time. While his stomach contracted beneath James's palms. The man was so distracted with his birth that he hadn't realized the steady changing of weather,"Mm..."He kept rocking, unable to stop as that was his chosen motion for this birth it seemed, should we go inside?"

"Only when your ready." James continues to run his hands over Tobias' contracting stomach, feeling the others body tense with the contractions. The wind was getting stronger, a chilly bite to it. James leaned in to nuzzle softly at Tobias' neck as the other laid his head back on James' shoulder.

"I think I can stay quiet if we went inside with the pups... I'll keep my pants on until the little one decides to finally come."He murmured, though trailed when he heard the others breathing at his ear when he nuzzled him and took that as an example to go by as the contractions stayed the same duration through and apart. The man was red in the face from the cold and the pressure of labor on him and his body, it seemed a whole separate entity now because it seemed he had no control over any of it any more. "Let's keep the door open too."

James nods before he and Tobias make their way inside. He gets Tobias inside before going to closeup the truck. He could smell the storm fully now as he made his way back inside, taking up pretty much the same position as before.

Tobias shook his head,"Lemme sit."He said, pulling away from his partner gently to lower down to his knees on the floor of the truck as he folded his arms on top of a box. The human breathed slowly in and out when he could while his thighs flexed along with his belly as it contracted, he grit his teeth. Huffing and rocking slowly while he kneeled, reaching for James to grip his hand and rest his forehead against it. "Mm... Fuck..."He said lowly, his back arching as his ass lowered and he groaned softly.

Tobias labors in the back of the truck for another hour or so before they finally give in and head inside the rest stop with the pups. James helped Tobias inside and toward the back of the building where they slip behind the small counter. It was enough to hide them both from the pups view if any of them were to wake up. The storm continued to get worse, the wind beginning to howl as the rain came down in sheets.
