"Hmm yes. Have you any ideas yet?" Feeling Alex's weight on his chest, he got some lotions on his hand and rubbed to heat it up. Starting with the belly, he gently rubbed circles, feeling some butterfly flutters as the baby moved. The belly looked even bigger at this angle from behind the shoulders.

Alex shrugged, grimacing slightly when the baby moved. "Calm down, princess. Daddy's trying to sleep," he murmured, thinking on the question. "Rosemary is cute."

"My grandmother's middle name was Rosemary. She used to plant them herself in her kitchen." Martin said. His palms slowly got up to the stomach.

Alex hummed and nodded, content with the warm hands on his stomach. "It's a pretty name."

The aroma of ginger filled their nostrils. It was soothing in a sense. Martin was very focused in his task and controlled his strength well. He continued to whisper "What about middle name? Maybe use your mother's name?"

"Rosemary Angela Reagan," Alex murmured dreamily. "That's pretty," he nodded, closing his eyes.

"Yes indeed. A beautiful name." Martin lowered his voice to a murmur, feeling the weight of Alex's body increase, knowing he was slowly drifting off to sleep. This was the effect he was aiming for and he smiled at this. What Alex really need may be as simple as a good sleep.

Alex soon drifted off, curled contently against the doctor.

Martin was hearing little snores from Alex. He carefully shifted Alex to lay flat on the bed and sneaked out quietly. He hoped he would have a good night sleep.

Martin had spent the night in the hospital too, on the spare bed that he had. He decided to visit Alex beforr breakfast time, wanting to accompany him for the meal.

Alex slept soundly through the night (something he hadn't done in months), waking when he heard the doctor enter the next morning. "Hey," he mumbled, rubbing the sleep from his eyes as his other hand held his belly.

Martin grinned seeing the childish rub on the eye with a fist. He approached the bed and pressed Alex down, "do not attemtp to sit up too fast. Roll to your side first and then get up. Let your body get used to the change in gesture. Besides, as your belly grow further, you would eventually have difficulty sitting straight up. I believe you are starting to feel it nudging on your thighs when you are in office?"

Alex sat up the way the doctor told him to, finding it much easier to do it that way with this growing belly. "Yeah, she's getting big in there. Not too much longer 'til she's here."

"Do not think she is even close to big enough. She still had a lot to grow. At most she is 2lbs now, at birth she would be 6 at the very least, probably more like 8lbs as in most male pregnancies." Martin helped Alex stand up and do the morning rituals, giving him lemon water instead of tap water to reduce the nauseousness.

Alex stood with Martin's help, stretching in an attempt to rid the idle pain in his back. He drank the lemon water, rubbing his belly when he felt Rosemary shift softly.

Martin rubbed on Alex's back as he noticed the stretching. "You could enrol into some pre-natal yoga classes. It would help reduce the muscle soreness, it would be especially useful as you are working an office job. Provide you with some activity level suitbale for your body now."

"I'll be sure to look into it," Alex nodded, finishing off the water and switching to just rubbing his stomach.

"They are about to get your breakfast in. I have assumed you would not want the standard porridge so I asked them to get you some toasts still. Is that fine with you? There's a selection of jam, marmalade, strawberry or honey. Butter too. Which do you feel like more?"

"Yeah, that's good. I'd like honey with it, please," Alex requested, perching himself on the edge of the bed.

"Ok I will let them know. Wanna have it on the bed or at the couch? Would you want that tea again?" Martin started to move out and tell the nurse about the arrangement. "By the way, when would your parents arrive? Maybe you could call them now to confirm?"

"I'll eat on the couch, tea would be good," Alex answered. "My mom told me that her and my dad would be here this afternoon, if all goes well."
