Tobias huffed when they had made it inside, kicking off his boots and unzipping his coat as he groaned softly at the shifting of the pups inside of him. He rubbed his overstretched middle then shut the backdoor behind them as he heard the other half of the pack running towards him. "Hey, little ones."He smiled softly at them as they hugged him from the waist down,"Okay, okay. Don't topple me."He chuckled and patted their heads,"Jazzy and James, take the twins and sixtuplets to go wash up. Don't touch anything, if any blood gets anywhere besides the sink no cookies tonight."He told them, sending them on their way as he picked up the triplets,"Where did Daddy go, hm?"He asked them and moved towards the kitchen,"Randy go get some firewood from the porch."He told the oldest of the fourth litter.

Tobias gets some wood put on the fire before he goes to start cooking dinner. He was halfway through when he felt a pair of arms wrap around his waist, James leaning in to nuzzle at his neck as he growled deep in his chest. "Mine."

He was standing at the stove just after checking the roast rabbits in the oven with his hand rubbing his head as he sighed in exhaustion. His eyes closing momentarily and his other hand moving to run over his middle, his eyes opening when he felt the arms around him. It was familiar and he smiled softly at the feeling, humming when he pressed himself against the others chest more as he nuzzled him. "Yours?"He repeated gently and laid his head back, closing his eyes for a moment as his hands moved to cover the others.

James nuzzles at his neck for another minute or two before running his hands over Tobias' stomach before kissing his cheek. "Go get some rest, I'll finish cooking and wake you when it's finished."

Tobias nodded as he turned to James after he let him go, kissing his lips softly and wrapping his arms around him for a moment as his belly pressed into the others. "I'll take the little ones to sleep too. They need a nap."He told him, letting their noses touch then turning and waddling off slowly towards the hallway. Whistling for the pups and heading up the stairs with the sound of the pack hopping behind him up to the second floor. The kids liked when Tobias let them sleep on the bed with him, he could tell that much when they all struggled to climb onto his and James's king sized bed. "Careful. Leave a space for Pa."He told them, a hand cradling his middle as he lowered himself down against the pillows.

Tobias drifts to sleep almost immediately, a pillow between his legs to try and relieve some pressure off his back. James gets dinner finished about an hour or so later before he goes to wake Tobias and the pups up.

Tobias was out of bed, pacing in front of it from the window to the door and back again, he had only a couple hours rest before he had to get up again. His back was aching, along with his entire lower body and he stayed silent as he traveled from one end of the room to the other quietly. Eyes were closed and beard folded against his chest as he pressed his chin to it while he breathed slowly, he didn't think it could be labor, he was still early. It was still early, wasn't it? He frowned and looked up to the door as it opened,"Dinner ready?"He asked gruffly, hiding the discomfort for now.

James eyes him for a moment before nodding. He had noticed the discomfort but decided to let it go for now. "Yeah." Soon enough they were all downstairs, their plates filled with roasted rabbit, mashed potatoes and gravy along with some mixed vegetables and a biscuit.

Tobias didn't mention it either, it could just be braxton hicks, that was most likely and he really hoped that was true as he helped James wake up the sleeping pups. Then carried a few downstairs as the others shuffled sleepily behind him and down the stairs. He sat down at the large table he had helped James make that fit almost all of the family without having to overlap anyone. "J, tell Dad about your first real hunt."He urged him when they were situated and little James looked slightly nervous then shrugged his shoulders,"It was okay... Jazzy caught a bigger one than me tho."He murmured and the girl giggled some.

James looks between the oldest two children before chuckling softly as they begin to eat. "You know, bigger isn't always better." He looks at little James then. "Her rabbit was bigger, which made it slower, and easier for her to catch."

Little james shrugged again as he looked down at his plate,"That's what Pa said too."He muttered and the human reached to ruffle his hair,"Then that means it's true, yeah?"He smiled at him with a hand resting on his middle while the other shoveled potatos into his mouth. The human chewed while the other older pups mentioned how their own hunts went and what they caught with Tobias's help. He grit his teeth halfway through and gripped his fork vertically as he closed his eyes momentarily with a quiet hum.

James continues to listen to the pups stories, him glancing over at Tobias as he stops eating momentarily.

Tobias breathed through the first real contraction, it was still light and barely enough to get a sound out of him. But he felt it and he realized then that it wasn't just nothing, though he didn't say anything about it. Sometimes things happened earlier than usual, right? He exhaled afterwards, looking up at his partner briefly and shaking his head slightly as he began to finish eating.

James continues eating as well, them finishing soon after. James goes to clean the dishes as the pups run off to play.

Tobias followed after James with the rest of the dirty dishes and silverware,"Let me clean up."He mentioned to the wolf,"I got it."

"I wash, you dry." James steps over so that Tobias could get to the already washed dishes to rinse them. They do this for the next 10 minutes or so.

Tobias nodded,"Sounds like a plan."He kissed him softly on the corner of his mouth and then waiting for the other to start washing. While they got the dishes done, he kept an ear out for any trouble the litter could be getting into in the living room. They didn't get cable way out here, but he did sometimes buy some kids movies on dvd for them when he made it to the store. By now they had a pretty nice collection and have seen them all at least seven times. It took fifteen minutes for Tobias to suffer another contraction, he leant forwards with his hands braced against the counter and exhaled heavily as his eyes closed.

James reaches out to run his hand along Tobias' back. He eventually lets his hand rest on the small of Tobias' back, applying slight pressure.

Tobias was going to complain about his hand being wet but the feeling was too soothing for him to say no to as he simply breathed softly for a moment. A hand going to cradle his belly when he felt the hand press into his back now and groan lightly when the pressure shifted in his front side. He stood there, recovering from the contraction and placing the drying towel down on the counter,"Think you can finish up here?"He asked in a tight voice, he still felt a tugging at his back and checked the time on the kitchen clock with a sigh,"I'm going to get the kids washed up and put to bed."

James nods. "Yeah, you know what to do if you need me." He goes back to washing the dishes as Tobias disappears into the living room to get the kids.
