It took a while for the human to get every kid washed up, more so tonight with these pangs hitting him every thirty to twenty minutes, but they got it done in shifts. With the girls first in the upstairs bath and then the youngest boys and the oldest boys after the girls were finished and brushing their teeth. The amount of girls he had he could count on one hand and he decided that was a good thing since he had little to no training on girls. He was glad that they were all still so young too, the only problem was Jasmine being the oldest, he had no idea what he would do with her once she hit her teenage years. It only stressed him out even more to even think about it.
Though soon the job was done, every head of hair was brushed and laid down and every little thing was accounted for, more or less. He went down the hall to say goodnight to everyone and suffered two more contractions, until he ended up in the master bedroom curled over the bed on his knees.

James finished with the dishes and made sure everything was put away and locked up for the night before making his way upstairs to find Tobias kneeling against the bed. He moves to kneel down beside him for a moment or two, running his hand along his back. "They've gotten worse." It wasn't a question, more of a conformation.

"No."Tobias shook his head, he was still in denial about being in labor,"It's too early."He replied in a brisk tone, his hand was cradling his belly again while the other gripped onto the sheets of the bed. It was low and he could feel the pressure impending on him,"Help me up will you?"He asked the wolf after the pain ebbed, he had to relieve himself, or so it seemed to him.

James helps him up before helping him into the bathroom. "Do you want me to call someone? A doctor, nurse..." He shrugs as he does the math quickly in his head.

Tobias waddled heavily beside James after he had lifted him up to his feet, he looked towards his partner and then down at his distended middle. While his other hand came up to rub at the curve of his middle slowly,"I don't know."He replied simply, pressing his lips together and leaning against the door slightly before they made it into the bathroom,"If it gets worse, go ahead and call someone, even if I tell you not to. My pride is worth less if anything really is wrong."He told him then disappeared into the bathroom.

James doesn't follow him, simply standing outside the door as he listens. He listens for a moment or two before moving over to the bedside table to get his phone, just in case.

Tobias was silent inside of the bathrom for a good few minutes, until the sound of water running in the tub started up. The man took a shower and then came back out once he had finished all of his nightly routines,"I think I'm fine."He told him, hands smoothing down the shirt covering his middle and then shuffling over at a slow waddle in his boxers. The human climbed onto his side of the bed, pulling the wet strands of hair back away from his face and sighing as he laid down beside his partner. Taking one of the extra pillows and placing it between his legs then settling his head on the recline of pillows with a hand cradling his belly while his eyes closed.

James nods as he slips into bed beside Tobias. "Anytime during the night, wake me if you need me." He leans over to kiss him softly before they both slip into a light sleep.

Tobias hummed in agreement as he nodded slightly, kissing him back,"G'night."He murmured and soon enough drifted off to sleep with his eyes closed, though it didn't last for long. The human tossed and turned throughout the night, before waking up at midnight or somewhere around that time. He guessed, pushing himself up from the bed and holding his stomach as he did his best to waddle quickly back into the bathroom. Half sleep and exhausted as he checked himself again, his fingers and the insides of his thighs were wet with mucus and blood. "Oh, fuck... Fuck..."He grabbed a towel to wipe himself down, turning on the bathroom light and looking into the bedroom,"James-"

Thanks to his enhanced hearing James had noticed when Tobias had gotten out of the bed though he hadn't worried, it was normal for him to get up every few hours to relieve himself. That's when he heard the curses. He was already at the threshold when Tobias finally called his name.

Tobias was leaning against the cabinet and groaning as he braced his forearm against the wall, barely realizing that James was already at his side and reaching to hold onto him. His knees were weak and he shook his head quickly,"There's blood."He told him and looked down again slightly,"I don't know what's wrong."He stood awkwardly, a dribble of blood running down his leg down to his feet,"I-I..."He squeezed his eyes shut and leant into James as he felt the urge to bear down finally,"Fuck..."

James looks Tobias over, waiting until he finished pushing before he disappears for a moment before returning with his phone. He dials the number quickly before waiting for it to ring. He kept the phone between his ear and shoulder as he spoke, telling whoever was on the other line all of Tobias' symptoms as he continued to hold the other male.

The doctor was half sleep still, being one of the only physicians for the small town the family lived on the outskirts of,"Is it slow bleeding?"The woman asked and rubbed her face slightly,"Okay. I think your wife's hemorrhaging... Is there anyway you can get to the hospital?"She moved to sit up and Tobias cried out slightly, gritting his teeth and shutting his eyes,"James. No hospitals."He told him, shaking his head and pushing himself up straight again,"Just, lay me down on the bed."He told him, slightly out of it.

"No there isn't." James tells her before he runs his hand along Tobias' back. "Just breathe." The doctor had gone silent for a moment, James waiting on her to answer.

There was a ruckus coming from the other end of the phone and she cleared her throat,"Alright. Give me your address and I'll be there as soon as possible."She told him,"You're going to have to lay her down, not on her back, and make sure there's a lot of towels to stop the bleeding."The doctor instructed him and Tobias was grasping onto James with his face buried into the others neck and shoulder as he groaned. "Once the bleeding slows, have her keep pushing, slow and steady. We don't want it to start up again."

James gives her the address before hanging up and carrying Tobias over to the bed and laying him down on his side. He lays some towels underneath him afterward before kneeling down by the bed as he moves some of Tobias' hair from his face.

Tobias was still gripping James, even trembling as he had lost a good bit of blood and grunting softly as he curled up more,"Ngh..."He whimpered, gritting his teeth while beginning to push again slowly and deeply until collapsing against the bed again. Letting out a groan as he dug his nails into the others shirt,"Fuck..."He exhaled, shuddering once more and squeezing his eyes shut,"We're going to traumatize that poor woman."He said breathlessly, no one other than James and the few pack members many states away have seen him like this.

"She'll get over it." James runs his fingers through Tobias' hair as his free hand moved to rub over Tobias' stomach. "You bunch of runts are turning out to be a lot of trouble."

Tobias managed to smile softly as James stroked his hair and he laid his head back against the pillows of the bed, though his face twisted up and he groaned softly again during another contraction. His stomach tightening and even more warm liquid trickling down his leg as he curled forwards once more with another hard push. Before gasping and collapsing back down against the bed, spreading his legs again and cursing beneath his breath with a shake of his head. "Don't call them that."He countered, hands moving to cup his belly,"It's probably something I did."He sighed and pressed his lips into a line,"Maybe I'm too old for this shit."He rested an arm over his face and curled his toes slightly as he shifted once more.

It's nearly another half hour before there's finally a knock on the door. James looking at Tobias and squeezing his hand before standing. "I can still send her away."
