Martin added a bit of perfume oil in the water after it was ready, with a suitable temperature. He helped Alex get into the bath, he let him lean on him and supported the belly while he lifted his leg through. While they were about to lift the other leg Martin could feel the belly tightening up again under his palms.

Alex settled in the bath against Martin, moaning when he felt his stomach tighten again. He took Martin's hand and gripped it tightly, taking deep breaths before panting them out.

Martin was glad Alex had kept it under control most of the time. He contiued to knead on the back as he let Alex grip his other hand, supporting him and also splash the warm water on his belly to reduce to help him relax.

Alex continued taking deep breaths, leaning his head back on Martin's shoulder. The contraction passed, but his belly was still tightened to an extent.

Martin rubbed on the underbelly where it was tightest. Rosemary moving down made th skin there stretched to max. He kissed Alex and encouraged him "soon, love. Soon to meet Rosemary now."

Alex rocked his hips slightly, letting out a small sigh of relief when he felt the pressure alleviate slightly, not aware his water had broken.

Martin's leg had felt a warmer current of water coming. He sat up straighter with Alex in his arms and asked "Babe did you just.... what did you feel just now." The warm current could be either urine or his water. He looked at the tub of warm water to find it a little murky so he goot his suspicion, he just wanted to make sure.

"Contraction fully stopped, why?" Alex panted softly, cracking his eyes open and glancing up at his love.

"Did you feel... some kind of release? Less prrssure down there?" Martin ask, directing Alex.

Alex nodded again, rubbing the side of his belly anxiously.

"I think your water just broke..." martin said softly, gently helping Alex to sit straighter up. "I think now would be the time to leave for the hospital."

"Shit, really?" Alex asked, slowly pushing himself from the tub, quickly drying off and pulling on some loose clothes, knowing he'd be in a gown when he got to the hospital. He grabbed his bag, waiting for Martin to get ready as well, smiling softly at his belly. "Can't wait to meet you, princess," he whispered.

"Me too." Martin grabbed the keys and walked with a hand on Alex's waist. He helped him into the passenger's seat and handed him the phone. "Your contraction should pick up after your water broke. Can you keep track of it?" He asked as he started the car.

Alex nodded, rubbing his belly as they drove. He felt a contraction early in their ride, stronger then before, but it died out quickly. The next one was about seven minutes later, longer than the previous. "Seven minutes."

"Hmm yes indeed they are coming faster. Intensity? Does it feel stronger?" Martin glanced at Alex when they stop at the traffic light, gently squeezing his hand as he asked.

"A lot stronger, yeah," Alex confirmed, returning the gentle squeeze.

"Ok we are just a few blocks away from the hospital. Try tl breath through them ok? We are going to be there very soon." Martin gave Alex a smile to encoirage him.

Alex nodded, breathing through the tight contractions as they began to arrive at the hospital. He eased out of the car with Martin's help, nurses setting him up in a room on the paternity ward.

Martin helped Alex into the gown and sat down with him to breath through another contraction. Just when it was about to end, a knock came through and another doctor came in.

"Alex, let me introduce. This is Dr Hammond. He will be the doctor attending the birth of Rosemary." Martin stood up and patted the doctor's arms. "Well John, thanks for helping here."

(Can Martin still do the internal exams? Like.... Alex requested it to be done by Martin as far as possible?)

Alex sat on the edge of the bed and clung to Martin as the contraction wracked through him, panting softly and gripping his love's shirt. He smiled at the doctor who came in, shaking hands with him. "Very good to meet you, Alex," John spoke, turning to Martin. "Are you still doing his internal exams?"
