"Alex you are doing really great here. You are now at the final step. Don't lose your spirit, you are the most crucial role here for Rosemary now. Think of how quickly we will be having her in our arms." Martin glanced at his watch and found it tobbe 7pm, though he wasn't telling Alex that to add onto his stress. For a first timer it wasn't a particularly slow labor in fact.

Alex nodded weakly at Martin's words, blocking him out for a while as he continued to rock, his opening slowly widened to its farthest point.

There's little that Martin can do right now, he saw the concemtration of Alex and decided to just let him cope with this wave. He got him a cool handtowel and wiped away his sweat, getting the ice chips ready for him.

Alex took a few ice chips and sucked on them, closing his eyes as the urge to push began to build. "G-Get the doctor, I gotta... She's coming."

"Ok alright. I will be right back." Martin pressed on the bell at the bedside to light the nurse know. He then returned and asked "spread your legs a little will you? One last confirmatiom here."

Alex shifted, spreading his legs slightly so Martin could check him. "D-Do I need to move to the bed?"

"Yes full dilation. And no, you don't have to get on the bed. Depends on how you wanted it to go. What do you feel like here?" Martin rubbed on Alex's trembling thighs asking him.

"Here is pretty good. G-got gravity to help m-me," Alex stammered out, relaxing slightly when John entered, beginning to help guide him through panting and pushing.

Martin retreated to Alex's side as he started pushing. He was still hovering over the birthing ball now and Martin sat down at the opposite side of the ball and clutched his outstretched hand and encouraged him. "Keep on pushing and 4, 5, 6, just a bit more, 8, 9, 10 ok breath."

"You're doing so well," John praised in a soft voice, Alex gripping Martin's hand as he pushed. It wasn't much longer until the head was out, Alex letting out a small sigh of relief as John slowly turned the baby so the shoulders would emerge easier.

"Rosemary's head is right there now, just a bit more and we would have Rosemary in our arms. Just a little more pushing Alex." Martin wiped tbe sweat away and encouraged him with exciting eyes.

Alex nodded, panting softly before screwing his eyes shut, gripping Martin's hand and pushing steadily, Rosemary's shoulders and body slipping out and her wails filling the room. John cut the cord, wrapping Rosemary in a blanket as Alex sat back slightly, easily accepting the baby into his arms, rocking her and shushing her gently. "Hey, Rosemary. It's so nice to finally meet you."

"Hello there Rosemary. It's a long wait but you are here now. You are such a beautiful princess aren't you, every bit as pretty as I tjought. Martin moved closer to Alex to let him rest against him, careful not to let his abused bottom touch the ground.

Alex relaxed against Martin after he delivered the afterbirth, holding Rosemary close. Even covered in blood and birth fluids, she was the most gorgeous thing he'd ever seen. He grinned and let out a sob of relief and joy, gently running a knuckle over her little cheek. "I love you so much, baby girl."

Henry gave Dr Hammond a grateful glance before helping his love and the baby back on the bed. He look at them with love in his eyes. "Now Alex the baby would need some cleaning. Let the nurse take Rosemary for awhilr?"

Alex nodded, whispering his love to his daughter before handing her over to the doctor. He looked to Martin, giving his hand a small squeeze. "I'm gonna go take a shower and change, okay?" He murmured, easing himself out of bed and going to shower, soon changing into some loose clothes and crawling back into bed.

Martin already had a freshly cleaned Rozemary in his arms that he was cooing. He had fallen so much in love with thsi girl already. He smiled at Alex and placed Rosemary in his arms, he himself sitting behind both of them, hovering them like a guardian angel.

Alex grinned at the sight of a little bundle in Martin's arms, holding her close. Rosemary was perfection, looking just like Alex, head covered in soft, brown hair, currently dressed in a comfortable pink onesie. She peered up at him with bright blue eyes, Alex pressing a kiss to her forehead. "I love you so much. Please don't ever forget that, okay?" Alex whispered, eyes brimming with tears.
