C Have My Baby Pt. II [Closed with Hockeypreg2]

Silas shook his head as he leaned his head back against the wall "I don't know their names. They have had them picked out since they both found out they were pregnant, but they have not said what they were except the first letters of their name which is A, B, C, D." Silas shrugged his shoulders and yawned "Perhaps they are waiting for all four of them to be born, to figure out which one is which from the sets."

"Ah, he's okay... They gave him an epidural, so he's not feeling very much pain..." rubbing his forehead he opened his eyes and looked over at Julia "Him and Marc are currently napping in the room, so I thought I would come out and check on everything - You, Sidney, my new nephews."

"I am fine," Julia assured him, patting his arm. "The babies are in the nursery if you want to go see them. You should call Sidney and see how he is and then probably rest yourself. You look tired. You still have little ones yourself and I'm sure you never get to sleep as much as you would like. I am happy to wait here for when my son gets moved and then I will join everyone in Sirius's room."

"I'll go see them now. Sirius is in room 426 whenever you're ready." He waved off Julia's concern, lightly, when suggesting that he sleep as well - he was more than used to only getting one to three hours of sleep at night now; while it was usually normal for any multiples to wake up at the same time as one of their other siblings... The triplets were anything but normal - they woke up when they felt like it to need different things. Luckily those days were *almost* behind him and Sidney, just one more year and they'd be walking, talking, little monsters, and he couldn't be more proud.

"I'll see you once everyone is in the same room again." Silas said as he stood up and stretched, a yawn escaping him as he started out the door, pulling his cellphone out of his pocket at the same time - he dialed Sidney's number as he headed toward the nursery, he wasn't going to go in, but he could at least see his nephews through the viewing window and tell Sid all about them.

Sidney had Maia on his hip when he answered the phone with his other hand. "Hey baby. How is everything going at the hospital? Calla, don't run please! It's been crazy here."

Silas stood in front of the nursery viewing window and smiled as he looked over all of the babies until finding the two blue-wrapped infants he was searching for "Going pretty good. Gio went for the safest route and went for a C-Section so he was in and out in no time." Silas said quietly, tapping the glass lightly to hopefully get his nephew's attentions. "Sirius went into labor - or had started going into labor - when Gio was getting set-up for the C-Section."

"We'll be bringing home parentally separated quadruplets by the end of the day, most likely. Have to wait a bit for Sirius though, since he's going natural." Silas sighed and smiled as one of the nurses brought the two baskets closer to the window "You should see them, Sid... They look exactly like Titan and Theo when they were born... It's uncanny to see another set of twins with my genetics." He wiggled his fingers and laughed lightly "Sadly, there isn't an ounce of Gio in them, visually - I really hope it is different with the twins that Sirius is carrying, or Gio may be upset."

Sidney laughed and bounced Maia as he headed into the kitchen to get some snacks. Kris was out back playing kickball with the older kids and Sid had Calla and the triplets with him for now.

"Well I can definitely sympathize with Gio. Your genetics are strong but eventually they start to look a little like the other parent. Just not as infants. And I can completely believe Sirius went into labor. I told you that was going to happen. Whoever went first was going to set off the second. Do you know their names or are they still keeping them under wraps? How far along is Sirius? Should I come to the hospital when the triplets go down for their naps like we planned?"

"Still don't know their names - It's like they are state secrets or something, we won't get to know them until after all four have been born, it seems." Silas huffed and pressed his forehead against the glass, definitely feeling the exhaustion that Julia was commenting about earlier, but he would push through and get his brother through this "Silas is about five centimeters, maybe six now?"

"Marc gave him an epidural and then he started getting tired - so the both of them are in Sirius' room, napping..." Silas snorted and shook his head "Gio is still in the recovery unit... I'm bored out of my mind here, and trying my hardest not to fall asleep while standing up. Julia has told me to also find a place to nap, but if I do - I may not wake up for the next eight to ten hours..." Silas rubbed his gritty eyes "It'd probably be helpful if you did come down... Maybe you can keep me awake."

"Sweetheart," Sidney said gently. "I'll come down, but you should go nap. It might take hours for Sirius to get to ten centimeters. I know this isn't his first baby, but it's been almost 20 years. I can't imagine it's going to be quick. Take advantage of the time you have to get some sleep as well. Tell Julia to sleep too. The three of them are going to have their hands full."

Sidney handed Maia a cracker and set her down on the floor. "I'm getting snacks and bottles ready now and then I'll come over once their down. Go back to Sirius's room and take a nap. Just tell me his room number and I'll come find you."

Silas' heart melted at the pet name, sighing quietly and tiredly "He's in room 426..." Silas waved goodbye to his newborn nephews before turning around to head back toward Sirius' hospital room "All we have are those recliner chairs... They aren't exactly comfortable but I'll try and get some sleep."

Silas stood just outside of Sirius' room and looked in at his brother and Marc, both of which were still passed out and snoring slightly "I love you, Sid... and please drive carefully; I know you're about as exhausted as I am - if not more than me right now..."

"I love you too, baby. I'll see you very soon. Give Sirius a kiss from me." Sidney hung up the phone and went back to making snacks and bottles.

-----

Sidney opened the door to Sirius's room, carrying a bag filled with food and drinks. Everyone was sleeping, including Julia now, and Sidney smiled softly. He went over to Sirius first and took a look at the contraction monitor since he definitely could read them by now. His contractions were three minutes apart and looked fairly steady. The babies looked good too according to their monitors as well.

He went to Silas next, pressing a kiss to his forehead. "Hey, sweetheart."

Silas gasped slightly, waking up almost immediately as Sidney's lips touched his forehead "I'm up, I'm up... Whose crying?" Silas asked, clearly a little out of it. He blinked blearily and let the world come back into focus, his eyes traveling the hospital room "Oh... No one is crying... Okay. Is it time to have the twins yet?" Silas asked, looking over to his still-sleeping twin brother.

"Doesn't look like it," Sidney said, rubbing a hand over Silas's shoulders. "I guess we could wake Marc. It's been two hours since I talked to you."

Marc opened one eye. "Marc is a awake and has been keeping an eye on everything. I did an exam about a half hour ago and he's still got a ways to go so unless you've brought me ham on rye, you can let me go back to sleep."

"No rye left. Your kids all wanted rye for their lunches. You got sourdough."

"It's like you don't even care," Marc sighed and held out his hand. "Give me the inferior sandwich."

Julia huffed "You be lucky he brought you any food at all, Marc." she scolded, yawning and stretching as she sat up and smiled in Sidney's direction "I'll take whatever you've got, I'm not picky at all about the food... I'm just grateful to have something other than cafeteria food or vending food."

Silas dug around in the bag slowly and pulled out a sandwich - the one that actually had Marc's name on it, because of how picky the man was and handed it over to the doctor. The next sandwich went to Julia, and he pulled himself a sandwich out, as well as Sirius. He leaned forward slowly and ran his fingers through Sirius' hair, gently waking the pregnant man.

"Hey... Sidney is here and he brought some lunch - You interested in trying to eat a few bites?" Silas asked quietly once Sirius's eyes were opened and he looked a little bit more coherent. "It's only sandwiches, but they shouldn't be so bad."

Sirius looked around at the much fuller room and then at Sidney. He shook his head, not hungry at the moment. "Just some water. Where's Gio?"

"I spoke with the nurse and he woke up about a half hour ago," Marc said. "They're making him comfortable and getting him into another bed to bring him in here. The twins are doing great. They've eaten and had baths and pooped. They're sleeping it off now."

"Okay," Sirius said groggily, rubbing his belly. "Can I push yet?"
Reply

Everyone in the room laughed lightly at that, except Silas who was pouring his brother some water "Here... Slow sips." Silas said, helping his brother sit up a bit and take those sips to moisten his mouth up. "There we go." he dried some dribbled water from Sirius chin and then set the cup down.

Marc put his sandwich aside and stood up, checking all of the monitors and then rubbed Sirius' hip lightly "Do you feel like you're ready to push? We aren't quite there yet, but we can definitely do some practice pushing and it might help you progress a little faster."

"I can't feel anything," Sirius admitted. "I was hoping you would tell me I slept through everything and it was time to push but apparently not. Just tell me how far I actually am."

Marc wrinkled his nose. "Well, last time I checked, you were a little more than 6 but not at 7 yet. So not very close yet. It could go very quickly or it could be another 12 hours to get the last 3 centimeters. It just depends on your body. Right now your contractions are steady and strong. Both babies are tolerating them very well. Since you've had an epidural, you're doing fine. All we can do is just wait for now."

Sirius sighed and leaned back against the pillow. He nodded. "Okay. So we wait. When do you check me again?"

Marc picked his sandwich up. "After I'm done eating."

Silas grunted and shook his head - this was one reason why he didn't like using Marc as their OB... He was lazy because they were all friends. He bit his tongue though, not wanting to upset or distress his brother. He instead started slowly eating his own sandwich, hand over his mouth as he started talking "It won't be much longer, Sirius." Silas assured his twin.

"Just imagine everything happening, and maybe it will come quicker." Silas didn't think visualizing the delivery of his brother's twins would work, but he had to give Sirius something other than the slow-going labor to focus on at the moment.

A nurse came into the room with a smile on her lips "We've set Gio up in another room, a much larger one - so that he and Sirius can be in the same room together, as well as all of the family." she announced happily, giving a genuine grin in Sirius direction. She then looked toward Marc "Is it safe to move him from this room to the bigger one?"

"Definitely," Marc said, getting to his feet and putting his sandwich away. He handed it back to Sidney before going to wash his hands and put gloves back on. "The goal was always to get them in a room together. What room is Gio in? The three of you can head over there and we'll bring Sirius over in a minute."

"He's in 431," the nurse said. "That's the largest room. The family can head on over."

"Silas," Sirius said, reaching out a hand. "Will you stay? Don't leave me. You promised."
Reply

Silas gave his sandwich to Sidney as well and grasped onto his brother's hand "I'm staying, that is no question." Silas said quietly, bending over to kiss his brother's slightly sweaty forehead "I'm right here, all the way, big bro."

Sidney came over and Silas sat up a little to kiss his husband "We'll be there shortly, just save us some seats." Silas teased and smiled up at his husband.

Julia came over and squeezed both of the boy's joined hands "We will see you both soon. Do not fight the doctor or nurses in getting there quicker, Sirius. Gio is not going anywhere and you have two babies to think about that need you to stay stress-free and comfortable... Or as comfortable as you can be."

Sirius nodded at Julia. "I'll be good. I know that I need to take care of these boys. Give Gio a kiss for me and tell him I'll be there soon."

Sidney and Julia left and Sirius tried to move to sit up a little more. "Stay where you are for now. I'm going to check you before we move you." Marc slid down between Sirius's legs, moving them where he needed them since Sirius couldn't himself. "Okay still holding at 7 but you're definitely at 7 now."

Marc stood back up and set Sirius's legs back down, covering them with the blanket. "Let's get you to the new room."

It didn't take long for the nurses, Marc, and two orderlies to get Sirius moving down the hall to the new room. Sirius didn't let go of Silas's hand the whole time, breathing slowly and trying to stay calm. He really *needed* to see Gio.
