“Can we be here?” he asked, and with his help he gently rose from the bed and held his stomach, which was now very tender. He grabbed James' hand, trembling on his legs

James held into Carson’s hand, trying to stop him from falling but he could see that his legs were shaking. He wrapped his arm around Carson’s waist aswell whilst trying to avoid the wires. “If you feel like you are about to have a contraction let me know so we can stop and I can support you” James told him.

Carsen nodded and then began to walk slowly through the room to stay close to James. At some point he stopped and breathed heavily “Contraction...” he said, bending and clunging to the table. He bent his knees gently. “Uhhh...” crackled

James gasped, worried the table was going to tip and grabbed Carson’s arms to wrap them around his own neck. “Hang on to me instead, I’m more stable than a wobbly table” he chuckled.

Carsen nodded and blushed. He hasn’t been this close to a man in a long time. “James... I...”

Soon after the contraction, they continued walking,”yes?” He asked, sweetly. Stopping once again for a contraction, James started pushing down on Carson’s back, reducing the amount of pressure he felt.

“I don’t know how to thank you...” whispered, and then he pinched his lip, feeling the contraction “Uhh... Please tell me what I can do to make you happy?” he asked.

“You don’t need to do anything” James said, he started rocking them, hoping it was helping with Carson’s pain.

Carsen moaned, clutching James' neck, “Uhh... James, please let me do something”, he begged, red-cheeked.

“What do you want to do?” He asked, concerned. He massaged Carson’s back waiting for an answer.

“I don’t know...” he said and began to gasp harder, grabbed James' strong hand and stared at him with fear “Aahh... It hurts”, hissed and spread his legs in front of him, sitting at the edge of the bed

“I know it does, is there anything you would like me to do?” James asked, he felt bad that Carson had to go through this.

“Just stay with me...” asked, and then he started taking a deep breath, “James... I hope destiny will thank you for what you have done for me.”

“Thank you” James chucked, “and I will stay, don’t worry”. He started massaging Carson’s thighs again, after hearing him breathe deeply signalling the start of another contraction.

“Can you be a little more gentle?” he asked shyly, feeling his belly getting really heavy and pressing on his abdomen. Tears came to his eyes: “Can I lie down?”

“Sure, I’m sorry” he said, he helped Carson lay down on his back, “is this comfortable?”

“Yes...” he said and took a deep breath and sometimes he squeezed the sheets in his hand. Sweat ran down his face and groaned out of his mouth.

James frowned at the sweat running down Carson’s face, “wait here I’ll be right back” he walked over to the door and looked around for a nurse.

Carsen breathed heavily and tried to overcome the cramps. The nurse returned to the room with James. “The pain has gotten worse?” she asked, and when Carsen confirmed it, she pulled the ball out of the closet. “Please balance... When the doctor is done with the C-section, he will come to you right away”, she said, explaining to James how to deal with Carsen.

“Alright, I’ll make sure he does” James said, he took the ball nearer to the bed, where Carson was still sitting and helped him stand up.
