Carsen took a deep breath and grabbed James' hand. He smiled slightly: “Baby's perfect.” he said with tears of emotion in his eyes. The nurse smiled at James. “You don’t get weak when you see blood. That’s good”, she laughed quietly.

James chuckled, “I’m not surprised, some men are a bit weird”. He turned back to Carson, “you are doing so well”, he commented, “not long until we meet your baby”.

Carsen shed a few tears and began to gasp as he felt the child’s head slowly moving forward.

James squeezed Carson’s hand, “keep pushing, I don’t doubt it will much longer”. He felt his hand get squished as Carson did push and tried not to wince.

“The head is out!” said the doctor, and began to look for an umbilical cord around the neck. Carsen saw James with a tired face “Just a little more...” he whispered

James smiled, “not long at all”, he murmured, looking back at the babies head. “Have you decided what to call your baby yet?”, he wondered.

Carsen looked at him and tried to smile in spite of the pain. “Fool... You made up the name yourself... Adrian”, he said, looking him in the eye

James burst into laughter, “whoops, I forgot”, he cried out, wiping away a tear, “I truly am a fool”. He lent closer to Carsen and laid his head on top of his, “you really must be tired”.

Carsen sighed quietly and touched the palm of his hand “A little...” He muttered and took a deep breath. “Thank you for being here...” said softly to him and grasped his hand tighter

“It’s no problem, I’m glad I helped you”, he smiled down at him. James got the rag again and starting parting the swear off of Carson’s face, “hopefully, this wakes you up a little”.

Carsen smiled sweetly as he thanked James. He was very caring... “Thank you...”
The nurse spoke to James, “Please stop flirting with your husband. You have plenty of time after that.”

James blushed, “uhm alright”, he put his head down and chuckled a little, “now stop focusing on me, you literally have a baby hanging out of you”.

Carsen was put on his hip. He had to stuff the rest of the body. The doctor secured the child’s head. “Sit down... Soon will be end”, said the nurse to James.

“Oh, alright”, he said, sitting back down. “Would you like a hand?” He asked the nurses.

The woman refused. “Get ready to cut the umbilical cord”, she said with a small smile. She helped the doctor by spreading Carsen’s legs. The boy pushed with all his might

James’ eyes widened, “oh yeah, are you sure you want me doing that?” He asked Carson, weary. “It’s a big deal, Y’know?”

“At least I’ll thank you for that”, Carsen crunched, clutching the bed railing as he pushed. At that time, the housekeeper wrote James. “Mr. James, how is Carsen? Has he given birth yet? And most importantly, have you asked him out yet?”

James sighed, “you shouldn’t feel you need to thank me, I helped you purely because I wanted to”. As he felt his phone buzz, he looked down to check it and smothered a laugh, he replied with ‘Carson is doing well and the baby is almost here. And I have not asked him out lol maybe when he has recovered.’

When James wrote back, it became the most wonderful thing in the world. Carsen pushed his baby out. The doctor grabbed his and laid baby boy on his stomach, surprised by the twist. The nurse started drying the boy’s airways. The baby began to cry, and Carsen, who was still, was moved and tired. The nurse came to James and handed him the scissors. “Your son is already here.”

James put his phone down and gasped, “oh my, he looks so delicate”, he stood up and took the scissors from the nurse, “this won’t hurt him right?” When he felt satisfied that it would be painless, he moved forward to snip it and grimaced, it was rather gross looking. He noticed Carson looking exhausted, “are you alright? Why don’t you give your baby a cuddle?” He asked.
