Jordan giggled sweetly, then stroked his hair back lightly.
"Let's go home tomorrow..." he asked

“I’d love to take you home”, Alex said, kissing Jordan on the forehead this time.

Jordan looked at the clock on the wall. It was late.
"Alex... You need to go to bed. You're probably tired."

“I don’t want to leave you”, he said, “I’ll just sleep on the couch over there.”

Jordan kissed him on the corner of his lips.

“I love you too”, Alex said, getting up and taking his shirt off. He laid down on the couch in the hospital room, “goodnight baby”.

The next day the couple could finally feel more freedom and closeness. The two were walking to the car with a hospital discharge.

Alex held Jordan’s hand, “are you sure you’re okay to walk?”, he asked, worried about his lover.

Jordan smiled slightly.
"It's better now. The drip helped me a lot," he reassured him.

“That’s good”, Alex replied. “Does it not hurt though, like, your belly is massive and I’m sure it’s heavy.“

"Take it easy... It's okay for now. Don't worry," he whispered and kissed his lips briefly

“You need to take is easy”, Alex retaliated, laughing. He opened the car door for Jordan, “let’s go home”.

Jordan got into the car and then began stroking his tummy affectionately. He was looking forward to having a baby.

Alex smiled at the sight before getting in a driving off, “are you nervous to go home? After what happened last time you were there?”

"I'm afraid of this basement.... The house itself is not scary to me," he replied quietly, looking at the road

Alex put his hand on Jordan’s thigh, “okay, I’ll just make sure you have no reason to go down there then”.

Jordan sent him a small smile.
"I've missed a lot, haven't I?"

Alex sadly smiled, “not really, I thought something was off so I went to work as much as possible to get away”.

Jordan looked at him sadly.
"I missed your birthday..." he whispered touching his hand

“It doesn’t matter, what does matter is that you’re back”, he replied, “we are almost home”.
