Jordan dozed lightly in the bathtub. Finally, he decided to leave.
"Honey... Will you tell me about the birth?" he asked. He knew how medically educated his husband was.

Alex had just dried off and put on some joggers when Jordan had asked. “Sure”, he said, “well, you will experience some fake contractions a few days leading up to the birth, they are known as braxton hicks.” He paused for a moment to let Jordan take the information into his head and took the chance to sit down on the bed. “Then you will experience some real contractions which are more painful, when they begin to be regular then you know you are in labour. They will happen for some time, hours, days or minutes. Who knows? But you are in active labour when your water breaks, sometimes the liquid is clear and sometimes it’s got a little bit of blood in.”

Jordan nodded, putting on comfortable underwear. He looked at his husband in concentration.
"Okay... You'll be by my side all the time, right?"

Alex nodded, “of course, you can also give birth wherever you want at home, which is why I deemed it best for you”, he said and laid down, waiting for his love to join him.

Jordan lay down next to him. He looked at him lovingly.
"I'm a terrible alarmist, sorry."

“What do you mean?,” Alex asked, rubbing his lovers arm.

"I panic often... It's good that you stay calm."

“Oh yes, that is true,” he chuckled, he began to feel sleepy, the day had been long. “Let’s sleep now, we didn’t know what tomorrow holds.”

Jordan grabbed his hand and after a while drifted off to sleep. He was really tired and sore.

Alex fell asleep shortly after, he had noticed the faint expression of pain and uncomfortableness on his lovers face. He wanted to do something the next day to try and resolve it.

Jordan woke up the next day tired and even more sore. He sighed heavily as he sat up and rubbed his back.
"I hate this..."

Alex stirred in his sleep, “huh, what you saying babe?” He questioned.

Jordan looked at his husband. He stroked his hand.
"Sleep, nothing..." he said and kissed him lightly on the cheek

Alex grumbled, “no no, you can tell me”, he may have been dozy but he could still help his lover.

Jordan closed his lips with his "Relax...You're tired, sleep."

Alex kissed him back, before dragging himself up, “well I’m awake now,” he chuckled.

Jordan looked at his husband with a weak smile.
"My back hurts..." he said quietly

Alex frowned, “I’m sorry to hear that baby, do you want me to massage it?” he asked, lifting the back of Jordan’s shirt up.

Jordan nodded slightly.
"I'll be thankful..." he said with a small smile

Alex moved closer and began to massage his back, taking time to work out the knots. “Is this alright?” He asked.
