Jordan put the bedding in the wash. Then he stepped into the shower for a moment. His stomach ached slightly, but that was still survivable.

Alex placed the bowls on the table and sat down to wait for Jordan, he scrolled through his phone and looked at some posts his friends and family had posted.

Jordan, dressed in clean clothes, went down to the first floor. He stroked his back lightly.
"What smells so good?"

“I made some açai bowls! There’s loads of fruit in there,” he explained, excited to try them.

"Mhm..." he said, sitting down next to him. He kissed him on the cheek.

“Try it,” Alex said, watching him. He was really rather proud of this new dish.

Jordan tasted his husband's dish.
"Interesting..." he said with a smile, "Sweet and sour."

Alex, happy with his husbands reaction, tried his, “this is so good,” he said, swallowing his mouthful.

Jordan kissed him joyfully on the cheek. He was happy to see that handsome face again. He was happy like a little child.

Alex smiled over at Jordan, “I’d kiss you back but there’s food in my mouth,” he said, through chews.

Jordan stroked his arm.
"I know..." He laughed and began to continue eating the dish from his husband

When Alex had finished he stood up, “are you done?” He asked, “I’ll take your bowl out”.

Jordan thanked him and looked at his husband in silence, thinking.
"Honey... Will you check to see if me and the baby are okay?"

Alex nodded, “you want me to check your dilation?”, he questioned, “and the babies position aswell I guess?”

Jordan nodded uncertainly.
"I don't know about this... I trust you, Alex," he told him sincerely

“Okay baby, why don’t you go and lay on the couch?” He asked, quickly taking the plates into the kitchen and returning.

Jordan walked toward the couch and carefully lay down, spreading his legs for Alex.

He crouched down and examined Jordan’s arsehole, “you seem to only be 3cm which is about the average size for someone late into their pregnancy,” he told him. He then pushed down on the outside of Jordan’s stomach, feeling for the baby, “they seem to be sideways still, don’t worry though, they will probably turn downwards soon”, Alex began, “you will probably know when as it will feel really weird and your stomach will go lower.”

Jordan absorbed the knowledge from his husband, looking at the belly then at Alex.
"You mean I'm going to give birth soon? Like... In a few hours?"

Alex hummed, “a few hours or a few days, it could be any time in between”, he said.
