Jordan nodded, then looked at his husband with seriousness. He clasped his hands.
"I'm excited, you know?"

Alex smiled, holding onto Jordan’s hands, “I’m glad, I was worried that you might decide you’re not ready yet”.

"This is our baby..." said a determined "I've never been more ready".

Alex lent down and kissed his hand, “I’m so proud of you”, he told his husband.

Jordan hugged him.
During the night, he felt the first contractions. He immediately told his husband about it. He didn't sleep a wink through the night, breathing and holding Alex's hand. He was worried about the baby.

Alex tried his best to stay up with Jordan, he was excited yet nervous about the baby arriving. “How’s the pain?” He asked him.

Jordan looked at him, feeling droplets of sweat drip down his forehead.
"It's not bad..." he whispered and grabbed his hand tighter

Alex used the duvet to wipe away the sweat and then pulled him against him. “Come closer,” he whispered into his lovers ear.

Jordan with a quiet gasp moved closer to his husband, touching his shoulders. He looked at him curiously.

“I just wanted to hold you”, he admitted, “this is the last time it will be just us.”

Jordan sent him a small smile. He put his arms around his neck after a moment, placing a kiss on his cheek.
"That's sweet..."

Alex smiled back down at his lover, “I love you”, he murmured.

Jordan stroked his neck. He felt very safe with him.
"I love you too..."

“Where do you want to give birth, it can be anywhere in the house”, Alex asked.

Jordan mused.
"I don't know... First thought, our bedroom," he confessed

Alex nodded, “we can do that”, he said, “how far apart are the contractions now?

Jordan sighed quietly, then gently put his hand under his nightgown.
"I guess it's not far..."

“Not far apart?”, he asked, “do you want to do something’s to help?”

Jordan looked at him somewhat stressed.
"I don't know... Do you know any way?"

“We can go for a walk?”, he suggested, “or you can do some squats or we can sway”.
